Liev Schreiber Chases Down "Scumbag" Photogs

Liev Schreiber went berserk yesterday, when paparazzi got too close for his liking -- and violently shoved one and chased down the rest. Liev me alone!

The frustrated and limping star of the "Scream" flicks went off on a photog after walking up the stairs of Taverna Tony's, where he set down his baby's carrier, turned around and pushed the pap while screaming, "You f**king disgust me, it's a f**king child and I have one f**king foot!" It didn't end there though -- Schreiber then chased the rest of the photogs on scene, screaming at them and making them retreat to their cars.

When Schreiber and baby mama Naomi Watts emerged from the restaurant, they were taunted by paps, with one yelling at the actor, "You better sit down before I knock your ass out!" This time, Liev remained calm and got into the car, but Naomi gave the photog a piece of her mind -- with a finger.

31. I hope to God the laws change to keep these leeches away from people. They are out with their NEWBORN baby!! They arent on a red carpet or a movie set! Leave them alone! Someday mark my words, someone is going to get killed or seriously injured and I just pray it isnt an innocent child.

32. Good for Liev! The public eye is one thing, being stalked by the paparazzi (which is out of control now) is another.

33. People who feel that these celebrities should be stalked and harassed while out with A NEWBORN INFANT need to get their heads examined. I dont care what profession they chose, why should their children be out in harms way because paparazzi want money??? Do we make doctors diagnose us while they are out to dinner with their kids? Do we harass our hairdressers to give us a quick cut while theyre taking their kids to school? Why should actors not be allowed to have a private life when they are NOT on a movie screen? Because some greedy people say so?

34. Soooooooo YOU SILLY STARS want to live in the public eye and be paid by the rest of us for your public outings........then grow up and expect that you will be tailed by paps. Period.

Besides if you don't act nutty.....the paps won't even bother with you. You make yourselves in to tabloid fodder with all the crazy behaviors.

35. Don't like the paps get out of the business. Pretty simple solution.

36. So let me get this straight. For all those who are saying these people deserve what they get because they are out in public with their kids, etc. If some strange person with a camera started snapping pics of YOUR children, you would probably call the cops and say theres a pedophile stalking your child, BUT these actors should be peachy keen with strangers snapping THEIR children BECAUSE they are actors? Hmmm.

37. Liev was so great in "The Ten." Great movie - I highly recommend it!!

38. The paps aren't following Liev but Naomi. He's not a big enough star.

39. K.L. Do you really believe that if these stars are calm, the paps will go away? Really?

40. Jennifer,

No I wouldn't like it but I'm not living in Hollywood flaunting my fame, money, etc. If I were to become a Hollywood star then I'd have to accept it's part of life there now. Stars want to dictate when the paps take their pictures. That's BS! It's okay when they flaunt their outfits on Academy Awards night but not any other. There can't be a "take a picture of me here but not there" approach.

41. Yes, actually, there SHOULD be a "you cant take my picture while I am carrying a newborn infant, or child" policy with stars. Paparazzi should NOT be allowed to stalk stars out with their children, plain and simple. I'm sorry, but I completely believe that these childrens safety HAS to come before the money these paps can make off of a picture.

42. Paps are making a living like it or not. Stars should stay home if they don't like it.

43. Get outta their face.....what's wrong with people in this country?! There should be a 100 ft zone around all humans.....unless you're invited in (and then you better have proof).

44. Liev was a dad protecting his baby, funny how we didn't see the first of that video. Though i do enjoy my TMZ i must say that the so called photogs get too close at times and are way to aggressive. Sure, that may be the price of fame but there needs to be rules. 20 flashing camera bulbs going off in a newborn's face, come on now! He didn't push the guy any harder than what they get pushed trying to go in and out of a restaurant!

45. Agree w/ #13...Just enact a state law stating no paparazzi pictures from 0001 Friday morning until 2359 Sunday. It will be a win-win for both sides. All celebs will have time out and able to enjoy their weekends without being hounded, except by accidental tourists or non pros. WE the public will benefit having been spared with no more stupid red carpet events. Imagine the actors walking up to event without cameras and no quick 1-minute interviews unless the event is held Mon-Thu. Guess what Liev, you are not well known, I had to check IMDB to see what roles you played....I remember seeing some of the movies but your face is just a BLANK...haha.. TMZ no more stories about him.
