Liev Schreiber Chases Down "Scumbag" Photogs

Liev Schreiber went berserk yesterday, when paparazzi got too close for his liking -- and violently shoved one and chased down the rest. Liev me alone!

The frustrated and limping star of the "Scream" flicks went off on a photog after walking up the stairs of Taverna Tony's, where he set down his baby's carrier, turned around and pushed the pap while screaming, "You f**king disgust me, it's a f**king child and I have one f**king foot!" It didn't end there though -- Schreiber then chased the rest of the photogs on scene, screaming at them and making them retreat to their cars.

When Schreiber and baby mama Naomi Watts emerged from the restaurant, they were taunted by paps, with one yelling at the actor, "You better sit down before I knock your ass out!" This time, Liev remained calm and got into the car, but Naomi gave the photog a piece of her mind -- with a finger.

91. There should be laws for this- that's downright disgraceful! Good for Liev! Granted they are celebrities, but who really cares where they have lunch- there's much more important things going on in the world!

92. What a bunch of jerks these paparazzi are. I know that if you are in public, then anyone can take your photo if they like, but they need to make some laws regarding these guys. It's getting friggan ridiculous, and it seems that it is getting worse week after week. It would have been great had he knocked one of them out!

93. Well, Anne, if Naomi had already posed for paps in an agreeable manner, like she did for a people magazine photo with her 2 week old baby, maybe Liev's behavior could be justified. But how ARE the paps supposed to know when these two don't want photos taken of the kid when there are already photos of the kid in magazines with the baby's mother looking quite pleased. These two need a reality check, Liev hasn't done much that can even be remembered (In Showtime's "Spinning Boris," GREAT actor Anthonly LaPaglia and quirky loveable Jeff Goldblum carried the ever comatose Liev on their shoulders (figuratively speaking) through the entire movie!) and Liev can be easily replaced in anything he does do, he is rather boring and forgettable. If it's a career he wants, he needs the paps. And yeah, maybe he is venting at them because his girlfiend has a more successful career. As for Naomi, this mother didn't even know where her baby was, LOL, and she is flipping off the paps AFTER she has appeared with the baby in People AND obviously enjoyed being photographed for that? Prozac anyone???

94. Supposedly, the paparazzi are photographing what celebs are doing in public; but a lot are now threatening and abusing celebs so they can film the ensuing fracas. I agree with a previous comment; "make it legal to attack the pappos'

95. Papparazzi are pathetic. Is there anyone out there who even wants the type of shots they get through this type of aggressive, anti-social behaviour? There should be laws against this type of thing. Even famous people have a right to a quiet meal with friends and family.

96. Your reporters from TMZ.com disgust me for they way they interfered with Naomi, Liev and child. I will be sure to boycott your website in future. Obviously the rules of etiquette and privacy don't mean anything to your publication.

Thankfully in Australia we are alot more laid back than Hollywood. They can relax here anytime.

97. "If all they wanted was a photo...."\

Are you serious? You wouldnt kick someones ass if they came up to you and started taking photos of your kids?

The video was coming very close to watching something of the Discovery Channel. A daddy lion chasing off the hyenas. Cause thats what most paps are, hyenas.

98. These papparazzo apologists crack me up. How's this for a deal? I'll respect a papparazzi's right to stalk a celebrity who's out with his newborn, and I'll respect a celebrity's right to defend his newborn and beat the living crap out of that papparazzi?

101. A long time ago, Natalie Wood got it right. When exiting a famous restaurant, all with her hid their faces and ducked, and she just smiled beautifully.....and the cameras snapped looking great....why don't the stars just do that....

102. I think we are seeing more of this behavior because of websites, TV shows, etc. (like TMZ) that need the shock value to sell pictures, video etc. Too bad we have stooped to that level that we have to antagonize others just to get a good photo/video. Most people could care less about these celebrities going to the doctor, mall, etc. but if we provoke them to anger we want to see them.

103. I can not believe the people on here expressing negative thoughts toward the actor, Liev and his family. No one knows what it is like being famous and having the paparazzi up your behind ALL the time. Sure he chose to be famous and yes I believe famous people do their share of allowing to be photographed. But, their are times when you just want to be a normal person and be with your family. The paparazzi does not have any respect when they are nicely asked "Please leave me alone I am with my family". They keep flashing camera's in your face. So anyone who can say that they have never been disrespected and has gotten frustrated because of it or can not place yourself in that situation and say "Well you know I guess I would be a little aggitated" please repost. Being a human being and reacting to people up in your grill and crowding you and screaming questions at you while you are trying to relax does not make you psycho. BTW, just because he was in flip flops does not mean he could not slap someone across their wig it just shows he is just any other guy out with his family.

104. The paps need to back off, especially when children are around. The taunting and "in-your-face" behavior of the paps are causing major problems. Unfortunately, it's going to end in violence before something is done. The paps have way too much freedom in disrupting other peoples lives. Taking pictures is one thing, being obnoxious is another. Back off, paps, before the inevitable happens.

105. I don't blame him at all. He is probably tired of being bothered by these people. I can't imagine what it must feel like being looked at and photographed all the time. These people are ACTORS and are ACTING on film in a story that is made up by someone else. They have real lives and don't deserve to be followed or harassed all the time. Good for him! And Naomi is cool for flipping the finger at the bastards! HA!
