Courteney and David Pull a Britney?

TMZ has obtained this photo of Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette with their three-year-old daughter Coco in Kauai, Hawaii. Coco, riding between her parents in a kayak, is not wearing a life jacket.

We checked and found that according to Hawaii state law, "Children 12 and under must wear a properly fitting PFD while underway."

We contacted the Arquette's rep, and are waiting for a call back.

166. Don't live in a glass house, you are seriously either one of the Arquettes or just too stupid to live. Courtney and David should call Britney and the three of them should take a water saftey course together. Honestly, who in the hell would argue AGAINST putting a life vest on a child? Absolutely amazing, like what is the harm in just putting a life vest on and NOT gambling with the life of your pecious child. Go to Las Vegas if you like to gamble.

Seriously, you are joking right?

Are you the watch dog for all parents? Let's follow you aroung and watch your parenting skills 24/7. I am sure we can interpert numerouse picture of you and your children in ways that we could all easily pass judgement..
Should they have had a life jacket? Of course!
Do they deserve to be publically tared and feathered and have their child taken from then as everyone here suggested? I am not even going to answer that you idiot.

I just glad that society is filled with all you people who are perfect and can just walk around and throw stones. The child was in the hands of loving parents enjoying themselves and that was a far from reckless or abusive situation,..poor judgement at best..

You have no idea of any parameters of the situation, so just mind your own back yard, you self rightoues crusader!

169. This is ridiculous! Would you hound Joe Schmo for the same thing? So stupid. Stop the press! I will be holding my breath while you wait for that very important phone call. Whatever, losers!

170. If this had been a picture of Brit&her boys, everyone would be yelling bloody murder! Treat EVERYONE equal people! Life preservers on everyone in boats!!! It's the law!

171. Just go, David & Courtney

172. Don't live in glass houses, you are the one with the issues, all the time you spend here going after posters like this? I can just see you on a dock, screaming at everyone to remove all the life vests from their children. It is very obvious all this venom and anger is coming from a certain couple of parents.

173. keep the children safe

Another one where the parent of the year cape.

I can sleep know that you are watching all the other parents telling them of their criminal wrongdoings, mean while, how is watching your children.

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and do knoch on the Arquettes door with social services and take their child away.

This is a presiing issues so go save the child big mouth!

174. A child is very safe when sitting with two loving parents, but lets run all the scenerios of what could happen because you are all "patty perfic".

Do you really think you can say that they should loose thier child because of your opinion of a picture posted on a website that preys on celebritys, judging them based on what a picture captures in a split second?

Get a life!

177. While it is 'pono' to provide safety to the 'keiki' it is more important that observers remove the guilt-projecting filters from their faculties of perception and offer more in the way of 'kokua.' Read this, learn this, live this, and we will ALL be better for it. ALOHA.

178. Why shouldn't they follow the law? Or more simply-- why can't they be good parents and stick a simple life vest on their baby? They make them flat nowadays, so it's not like she'd be wearing some bulky orange life preserver.

179. Give. Me. A. Break. We survived Jarts (lawn darts), seatbelt free naughahyde bench seats in massive gas-guzzling cars, biking without a helmet, not getting picked for teams, teasing, skateboarding with no safety equipment, concrete playgrounds with metal equipment, and much more. WHAT the hell is up with the sue-happy safety nazis these days???

180. If that kayaking trip is like the one I went on in Kauai last year... the water is literally 3 feet deep, little NO current, and completely clear! I think there are a lot of parents that put their kids in waaaaaay more danger than this!
