TMZ obtained court documents filed yesterday, which "commands" that a spectacular list of celebrities appear for depositions in a lawsuit filed by one Jerome Almon, who alleges that Canada has launched an attack on U.S. black rappers. The lawsuit claims Canadaian officals blame rappers for both increased gangs and gun violence in Toronto and Vancouver, and holds up black rappers at the border.

The list goes on to include Paris Hilton, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Diddy, Jenna Jameson, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kobe Bryant, Spike Lee, Tom Sizemore, Martha Stewart and Heidi Fleiss. Mr. Almon, CEO of MurderCap Records, tells TMZ, "The white celebrities have been directed to appear, in order to show the hypocritical nature of Canadian policy toward rappers. Some of the white celebrities have far worse records than these rappers, but are still allowed to enter Canada with the red carpet rolled out."

Trip to Motor City ... everybody!

46. Every since words began to be used by any and everyone ever, anywhere, they've been able to talk people into anything. This is all so ridiculous. Please stop reporting these ridiculous stories. More words.

48. If things are so grand in Canada, why are you beating down our door to get into the USA, attend our schools, benefit from our health care and currency? Yeah, Canada is the place to be.......and if you're such free thinking, social butterflies why try to curtail rap artists? To claim rappers have any greater degree of arrests or convictions than their "white" counterparts is lame, and ridiculous.

49. This is ridiculous. Canada simply has stricter gun control laws. Call it profiling, but I would think a rapper more likely to be carrying a handgun than Paris or Oprah too.

50. I must be missing something here. If they're mad at Canada, why are they filing suit in Detroit? Somehow, I don't think anything a Michigan Federal Court rules is going to have any effect whatsoever on whether or not Canada decides to let them across the border or not. Or maybe they're just so stupid they didn't realize that Michigan isn't in Canada. This lawsuit should be thrown out on the grounds that US Federal Courts have no jurisdiction over what Canada does on their side of the border.

51. "Blame Canada...blame Canada...it seems that everything's gone wrong since Canada came along."

Oh, come on - you know you were thinking it.

52. 40. Hypocrites

Oh, wow, I guess all of the murders and double suicide white people have been doing too/ lately...Also seen on TMZ, doesn't count...just what the blacks do. The crime rates are equal, some just don't get caught.

Yes you are aren't you?
For someone so "educated" you sure have no facts or statistics to back up your white hating rhetoric. You think your opinion is fact. YOU are blinded by your own racism and blatant hatred and yet call others racist.

blacks 13% of the population, 60% of violent crime, 90% of interacial crime, 45% general crime.

Although I'm sure since you don't like what you see you'll be very creative in your refusal to accept it. Your skills while typing from upon the cross how ever are very impressive.

56. ah.............it's rap music that's turned Canada into a toilet. Not their socialist attitudes. Is it the Black American rapper's that are responsible for some of Canada's finest citizens: Paul Bernarlo, Wayne Boden, John Crawford, Allen Legere, Clifford Olson, the list goes on and on.

58. I totally support Canada for banning Rappers. I am sick and tired of some uneducated, poor excuse of men that those 'HO' Rappers are for treating women like only sex objects in their music videos and promoting violence to the younger generation (such myself).

This has nothing to do with attacking a complete race, but because of some of those Rappers, the black community has been given a poor image.

59. bebe! you are so in the dark! go back to your cave. and get your facts straight. but read it on canadian terms because america does not really know as much about us as you'd like to think. its called propoganda. and you obviously believe everything you read. its attitudes like yours that make canadians believe that americans are ignorant.

60. The bottom line, Canada should be free to pick and choose who they want in their country. If Canadian officials have a right to run their country the way the see it. I think this guy is just out for publicity. There is no way more than half of these celebrities will actually show up in court. And Oprah herself doesn't have rappers as guests on her show. She is a black woman and sees the negative image most of the rap music portrays.
