Reading is Fundamental, But ...
Poll results released this week say that one in four US adults did not read a single book in the last year.

18. It is pretty sad that more people do not read read as much as they used to. My father passed on to me his love for reading, and so I routinely go through books like crazy. It helps keep the mind active and sharp.
I'm not anti-tv or internet, as you can tell here I am. But I do think that more people need to give their brain a workout, insead of a vacation, and crack a book.

19. That's sad. One of the world's most brilliant authors, american Kurt Vonnegut, is rolling in his grave. I read on average two books a week, but then again, I'm not american. I still enjoy celebrity gossip, clubbing, shopping and other so called "shallow" activities. It is possible to be both intellectual and shallow, to appreciate both Kafka and Perez Hilton.

23. The 3 amigos.......ain't it a shame!! This is a visual sad commentary on what friendship is all about. They lead very self-absorbed lives. Not one of their mothers should be proud. The mothers came first and all did a pathetic parenting job. Everyone is in denial!!!!
All of your grandchildren ( and those yet to be born ), are in jeopardy. These "girls" just don't GET IT. Mrs. Hilton, Mrs. Lohan and Mrs. Spears wake up!
