Poll results released this week say that one in four US adults did not read a single book in the last year.

47. Yeah, the world's "getting this way" because everyone wants to emulate this country with its unbridled capitalism (when an individual's wealth is more than the GDP of countries, there's a problem and it's a scary one).
Let's BE like Europe - where the people know at the very least 2 or 3 languages and know their history to the enth degree.

58. Duh! Now you idiots get it! If we all spent more time reading literature (not OK! and People) and less time reading garbage, this country would not be in the sh_thole we're in! Even tho' I admit I look t this sight regularly, it's really because I want to see just how pathetic we've all become.
Jeez...spend more time with your family, your children, in school, doing community work --- rather than supporting the bankrupt reputations of never even has-been Hollywood wanna-bes..
