66. Star Jones is a fortunate fixture in the media. O.J. Simpson's crime made her a celebrity. The View, her marriage, her physical appearance and now her talk show will keep her in the news for a good while. I hope she is doing something worthwhile with all of this celebrity. Poverty in Africa, AIDS in America and America's horrendous health care system could use some more advocates.

71. Oh, Good Lord, folks, do we not have better things to do than bash Star Jones? Yes, she did let the celebrity bit and marriage go to her head but we all have made mistakes and made asses of ourselves at one time or another. I had gastric bypass surgery myself 3 yrs ago and I can understand why she was not quick to announce it to the world. People always have the nerve to say that you took the easy way out when you have the surgery but that is so not true!! It is a hard lifestyle to live afterwards and its not like a magic wand. There is still a lot of work involved and you have to be more careful and watch your eating more than just a regular diet. When you are 350+ lbs and some nice looking man comes along and acts like your prince in shining armor, its easy to get caught up in that too. I am sure that the thought of him being gay or bi hit her mind but you know...denial works for some. So...give the lady a chance..she has a lot of issues, past and present, to deal with. She is trying to live a thinner life with a fat persons mind, her prince ended up being a princess and everyone knows it, and she so desperately wants to prove Babs wrong about firing her and that she can be a success afterall. Good luck to ya Star and I mean it!
