Lindsay Cops Plea! -- She'll Do Time

Lindsay Lohan will not stand trial for DUI -- but she'll do a teeny tiny amount of jail time.

She just struck a deal by pleading no contest to two counts of DUI (driving with a .08 blood alcohol level or higher). By law, Lohan becomes a second offender (with two DUIs) and must serve a minimum of four days in jail. But the judge cut that in half by ordering her to perform 10 days of community service in lieu of two of the days. He also gave Lindsay one day credit for time served when she was busted. That means she gets a grand total of one day in jail.

Lohan also pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance (two separate incidents) -- both misdemeanors. She also pleaded no contest to reckless driving.

The judge said Lohan will serve 36 months probation and attend an alcohol education program for 18 months.

As to the controlled substance plea, Lohan was ordered not to use controlled substances. She's also required to enroll in a drug program. She's also required to stay for an unspecified amount of time at the Utah facility where she's currently in rehab.

Lohan was also ordered "not to associate with people with controlled substances."

On January 18, Lohan must show she's successfully completed rehab.

16. Four days is nothing! A slap on the wrist. She will get out and go to her vacation rehab spa and drink and do more cocaine. LOL

17. She pleaded, not "pled". There is no such word is "pled". Some dictionaries unfortunately will tell you otherwise, but there is only one acceptable past tense of plead = pleaded.

18. 7. Good she took responsibility & plead guilty & hopefully this is the 1st step to recovery.

She did not plead guilty, she pleaded no contest so she did not enter a guilty plea. That means that her record will reflect a not guilty.

22. 4 days in LA county jail = 2 days in LA county jail.
You get a day's credit for good behaviour for every day you're sentenced to.
so - 2 days!!! I hope she survives.
Poor Lindsay.

23. FOUR DAYS IN JAIL!!!!!!!!!WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!
I HOPE AND PRAY THAT NEXT TIME SHE DOES NOT KILL SOMEONE........
OH YES SHE HAS LEARNED A LESSON:
1. HAVE A GOOD TIME
2. GET DRUNK
3. DRIVE SOMEWHERE (ANYWHERE IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE)
4. GET ARRESTED
5. ADMIT HERSELF IN REHAB
THE YOUNG LADY IS VERY SMART
My Compliments Up to now she has not hurt anyone physically and I hope she never does........

24. #8 you are sooo right, man I spent 30 days in jail just for driving on a suspended... not even under the influence.

Dude you are right on with your assessement of this. Now people know that they can actually as a 1st offender to all the things she did and only do 4 days in jail (actually prolly only 8 hrs) and this country will have even more lunatics out there

25. #19 Queen pain in the ass

Give up with pled. It is and always has been past tense for plead. Stop making up your own spelling rules and shoving them down our throats.

28. If her sentence is 96 hours, how can she be credited with one day (24 hours) - she wasn't in jail that long for her booking. She should be getting credit for the actual hours, not an entire day

Hey TMZ - what happens when she violates any of the conditions of her deal? That should be, what, 7 days after she leaves rehab?

29. The only thing I suggest is the next time any of "US , poor, lowly folks" want to commit a crime such as LiHO's - LET'S ALL DO IT IN L.A., BEVERLY HILLS OR SANTA MONICA!!! WE can all get away w/possession of coke, kidnapping, and just plain being a drugged out creep!! DO THE CRIME - GO FREE
