93. WOW - Her lawyer is GOOD!! But Seriously---She needed to get more serious jailtime than this. At least more than 10 days of community service.

The only positive in this is the first time she screws up - no lawyer will be able to get her out of trouble. Hopefully understanding this...she will take her rehab more seriously.

Good luck Lindsay - I wish you well. Just remember - all of your money won't bring someone back to life if you kill someone in your recovery process - and it doesn't make overcoming a drug addiction any easier.

95. Give the girl a break. Look at her parents for crying out loud. She's still young and can make a change, don't deny her a chance. I think her parents coupled with the whole Hollywood thing gave her a sense of "entitlement" that unfortunately for her, didn't extend into "real life".
When she's clean, she is still a beautiful girl. When she's using she's not. If she was older, I would think we could let her fade into black, but she's still young with potential. Hopefully she will learn how to handle herself better in public. BTW I'M NOT A FAN OF HERS. I have no idea what she's done workwise besides DUI and TMZ stuff. And I'm gay. She's got a good look about her that gets better when she's clean. Thats all.

It's going to take way more than your single statement. You need to change your attitude, stop partying and stop blaming other people than yourself for your antics. I wanted to write this letter to thank you for all you’ve done to alleviate the stress in my life. I used to worry about things like getting in trouble for things like speeding but I now realize that living in Los Angeles, I’m actually incredibly lucky because I now know that I’ll never get punished for it again. This of course stems from the recent ‘situations’ involving those people involved with crimes that far outweigh the seriousness of my crimes. Here’s how I figure it works in terms of crimes committed that result in little to no jail time (from approz(except in the case of when I kill someone in which I guess I’ll have to have my L.A. Times stopped being delivered to my house for 3 months (no biggie of course) :

Reckless driving

Driving recklessly while intoxicated

Driving recklessly while under the influence of a controlled substance

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and under the legal drinking age

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and under the legal drinking age and in possession of a controlled substance

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and under the legal drinking age and in possession of a controlled substance and getting into an accident

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and under the legal drinking age and in possession of a controlled substance and getting into an accident and fleeing the scene

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance for the second time in less than 2 months AFTER completing the second rehabilitation program

Driving recklessly while under the influence of a controlled substance and ending up facing the wrong way on the freeway when already on probation for a previous DUI

Driving recklessly while intoxicated and getting into an accident where a person dies


These are just some of what I can now know I can ‘get away with’ and I want to thank you because like an idiot, I assumed consequences were real things but clearly they are not. Thanks much!
