Why doesn't everyone just leave these people alone-don't we have bigger fish to fry-and who's such a bad role model to their own children that they actually have to worry that their kids are going to try to emulate these girls with all of their problems? Be their for your kids-and teach them not to judge others-everyone makes mistakes.

80. OK look.. I hear what you guys are saying .. "omg star treatment" and all that other bull .. but the reality is .. for the stuff she did lol YOU TOO would have gotten the same if not less. You guys want to sit here and bash the celebs for their mistakes and while they are certainly wrong for them .. they are also human!!! Hellloooo .. The crimes she was involved in were simple compared to the billions of laws that are broken every day. Yeah so what .. she may actually know what she is doing.. She never claimed to be stupid.. but the only reason Paris even got the JAIL time she did was to please you people!! LOL honestly. You guys sit here and cry "omg thats not fair" and all that silly nonsense.. but if it were yooouu we were talking about or someone you loved.. you would be asking "but why such a harsh punnishment??!" See my point? Im sooooo tired of people complaining about this .. GET OVER IT!!!!! life moves on .. Some people will make mistakes .. and some may or may not learn from them .. BUT OPEN UR DAMN EYES! Crimes are done in front of you DAILY! And honestly most of you have done things like this .. and sometimes worse.. If you "dont support Paris and Nicole" (which I am neutral) then STOP READING ABOUT THEM!!!!! They are only making headlines because our noses are so big they have to be in other peoples business these days and thats what tabloids give you!!! They give you headlines!!! Another thing.. did you know NOT ALLLLL of the crap you read online .. or hear on tv is true?!?! Hellllloooo .. thats why they cant use it against her in court.. ooops .. So while you hear one story .. (the story the magazines uses to get you to buy them .. or the story some stations use to get u to turn to them) it may actually be a whoooole different one! 83. I had to sit here and thinnk for a minute before I decided if I wanted to comment. I thought when I was growing up that I would have that normal family life the we used to see on television. It has been anything but. I'm 48, 49 next month, have never been drunk, don't drink at all, have never smoked pot nor even seen pot. I'm a single mother of three wonderful daughters. One is 25, married, has 2 kids and works for the postal service and her husband has a good job. They live in a nice home. I have never had to bail her out of jail, never had to go get her because she was too drunk to drive but she did get a ticket for having a burned out tail light on her 1986 Volvo when she was in college. I have a 20 year old who goes back to college on September 9th after taking 2 years off which she spent working full time, paying for her own car and insurance and she moved out last year on her hown. She did however, get a ticket for not stopping for the full 7 seconds agt a new three way stop they put her about 2 miles from our house. Never had to bail her out of jail, never had to pick her up because she was too drunk to drive and she has ALWAYS taken a firm stand on not smoking, drinking or doing drugs. She did it i high school where she was known as the "good girl" who was a good friend to everyone. My last one is 9 and I can only pray that I do as good a job with her as I did with my other 2. I buried 2 children, a little girl 2 weeks old who died from menagitis and a son I miscarried at 4 months. I am not gloating but thanking God that I did something right.

87. are you serious? reading comments like yours and realizing that people who think like you actually exist in this world makes me sad, it really does. it is certainly NOT true that everyone who commits the same sort of crimes that nicole richie committed would have walked free after 82 minutes, especially if they had been from a lower-income family and (dare i say it) were from a racial minority group. how do you know that all of "us" would have been subjected to the same breeze through prison? are you just going by the statement that richie's lawyer released saying that she was treated just like everyone else? if so then maybe you should take your own advice and not believe all the things (or as you might say, "ALLLL of the crap") these celebrities and their attorneys feed you.

also, it is quite obvious that you have never had a friend killed due to a drunk driver, and have never imagined that you might someday--otherwise you wouldn't be so quick to forgive the "simple" crimes that she committed. what an insult your comments are to everyone who has ever lost a loved one to the plain negligence, selfishness and stupidity of others.

and lastly--paris went to jail just to please the american public? please.

i sincerely hope that you are under the age of 18 and can grow up to realize the ridiculousness of your comments. get well soon.
