Just 82 minutes after Nicole Richie checked herself into Lynwood jail, she left a free woman. Hard time her ass!
According to the official website of the L.A. Sheriff's Dept., Richie checked in at 3:15 PM and was released at 4:37 PM. She was assigned to a cell for only 35 minutes! It takes longer to watch an episode of "The Simple Life" ... and it's more painful!
A Sheriff's source tells TMZ Nicole was routinely processed and released according to normal operating rules.
One of the more brilliant moves by Nicole's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who snuck Nicole in and out while everyone was focused on Lindsay. Well played!

I'm glad this a third rate celebutard with no talent can dazzle the LA jail system so much that she can walk after driving her SUV drunk and effed up down the freeway the wrong way. The sherrif probably would have knighted her if she had killed someone during her drunken driving fiasco. Seriously, this girl is vile. She should be hated for her nasty attitude, entitled air, drug/drink problems and for waving her eating disorder in everyone's face. Now, she's pregnant. Great.

Thank you TMZ for showing us exactly why no one give two @%!$ about getting behind the wheel when they are smashed. Believe me, these celebs are NOT the only ones doing this. Just this week I was watching a story about a SCHOOL BUS DRIVER who had an accident with a load of kids and in addition to being up all night getting a tattoe, she had about six different drugs, most illegal, in her system. We need to stop focusing so much attention on drug/alcohol USE and start throwing people in jail for 1 year for the "assualts and attemped murders" that we currently call DUI.

Who cares about Nicole Richie???????????? If you were to stand out in front of a mall and ask people who Niceol Richie was I bet most would look at you and not know. What has made this girl famous anyway???? It really amazes me that TMZ spends all their time chasing after this girl when realy she isn't even on the A list of Hollywood celebrities. I have been to many parties here in Beverly Hills and most people are truly amazed why there is so much time spent on this woman. She really is a nobody. Just leave her alone and let her live her life. Most Americans could care less about Nicole Richie. I realy believe that and I want to hear what others say about this. What has she really done? Hasshe won an Academy Award? No..... Has she won an Emmy? No.... A Golden Globe??? No....... So many of these so called celebrities on your site are nobodys........
