Brad Pitt -- Ask Nicely and Ye Shall Receive

Brad Pitt got his wish ... sorta.

A day after he told photographers in NYC to back off while snapping pics of him with his children -- suggesting they use a telephoto lens -- Pitt was swarmed while out with son Maddox. The paps (and many random passersby) took a few steps back when Pitt requested it, giving Brad and Mad their space as they ordered some hot dogs from a street vendor.

As they hopped into their waiting SUV next to the cart, a smiling Pitt told a few of the cameramen, "Much better with the kids, you guys are better!"

16. I agree #12, it seems more like he says "you guys have to better with the kids around, you have to do much better". But, I give him credit for handling this & his initial request to the paps the way he did. and I give the paps credit for working in a swarm atmosphere and at least allowing the wide circle they did make. it's a start. and the more they go out in public, the less newsworthy these "hot dog buying" moments will be.

What a beautiful man...inside and out.

The only way I would kick him outta my bed is to do him on the floor.

20. #20 personally, I dont think the term 'p....ssy whipped' is to be taken serously. Its usually used to describe a man who does what he needs to, to please his wife and family. In my opinion he's not a wife batterer or a deadbeat dad that some of you are more comfotable with!!

Brad has the courage to do what's right without subscribing to the outdated macho gang mentality.

Go Brad Go!!!

Someone's got somebody on a tight leash, with a grip on the short and curlies!

22. I think is good he requested a little privacy, but Brad please, tell your love partner not to sell your kids pictures...You are sending conflicting messages to the media. Either you are for sale or you are not.

Learn from legends like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro or Jack Nicholson, even when they were very young, those guys knew how to keep their private life, PRIVATE.

But of course, when you are with Angelina Jolie, who is truly a whore for publicty, you get exposure, that's what you get.

23. Ok...I get to be the negative one here...It's all well and good that Brad asks this, but he knows this business...he needs to talk to Angelina about using those kids in all her photo ops, it works both ways here.

24. Brad AND Angelina are loving hands on parents who seem devoted to their children. NEITHER is using their children for photo ops, NEITHER. They have the right to take their kids to shop and to get hot dogs just like anyone else. Their children are extremely well behaved in all the frenzy surrounding them. If they take their kids out and not lock them up where they are living they get slammed by some, and if they don't take their youngest baby out all the time they get slammed. If they decide to homeschool their children like many celebs they get slammed, if they send them to school they get slammed. So they live their lives as they have decided to do and that is good for them. They do not go off for weeks and months and leave their kids behind to be raised by staff, they plan their work schedules so that when one parent is working the other parent is with the kids. Brad is working now in NYC so Angelina is with the kids. Angelina has one more movie to make, "The Changeling" with Clint Eastwood and then she is taking a year off just as she said she would in May when she said " I complete work on "Wanted", I'm off for a couple of months, then I film "The Changeling" for a couple of months, then I take a year off." She has decided that her priority is her family, Brad and the kids, rather than her career.

25. #13 - papa bear
Couldn't agree with you more!

It is very creepy, and childhood comes with its own set of pitfalls you have to grow through. Paparazzi, must be very freaky for the kids. A whole throng of them, could be possitivly overwelming.

26. It's called a time and place for everything, Brad completely acknowledged that the Paparazzi have there job to do. He requested that they use longer lenses to not smother the kids. There is human decency to consider. He did not request that they go away, or not do there jobs. Just a little space. It really is pathetic that he would need to ask for a a little space. If he is being crowded with his son how would he know, that everyone crowding around them only wants pictures? That no-one there wills him or his child harm?

27. This sounds so gentlemanly! I am impressed.

28. Donna, Thanks for showing the reality of the situation. No matter what they do, or are willing to do for the Press it is never enough. One of these days there is going to be a serious accident due to this uncontrolled behavior. And again, it will be the celebrities fault, it always is. The paparazzi showed no Human decency to the celebrities or the people who were caught up in the whirlwind.

29. Thanks Ted. I usually don't sympathize with celebrities for their behavior, but honestly, this couple and their kids just wanted to have some fun in Manhattan and the press literally followed their car on BIKES and mopeds. What the story above doesn't mention is that Angelina Jolie and the kids were waiting in an SUV, while Brad Pitt got some hotdogs from a vendor. Nothing spectacular. Just parents being with their kids. And the animals were the press. I feel for CERTAIN now that Diana was killed because of them.

30. What a waste of time, energy, space, etc!

An average actor buys hot dogs, and the media treats it like a big deal!
