Dogs Rescued from DMX's House

136. Using dogs for entertainment is peverted and sadistic not to mention cruel beyond words. I hate dog racing, dog fighting, dog breeding for these purposes. There is an established correlation between animal abuse and crimes such as child abuse, murder, and so on. Getting off on an animal's pain is just wrong. Why would anybody excuse this? People who justify the torture of animals are dangerous to people too.

137. Oh and about PETA...those extremists think that people shouldn't have pets! Man and Dog have had a mutually beneficial relationship since the beginning of time. Don't support PETA, they are seriously warped people. Donate time and money to a local shelter instead of PETA.

138. I thought he said he turned his life around and became a Christian. A Christian who has no love or concern for God's isn't much of one. Another gun toting animal abuser. He was accused of cruelty to 13 animals in 2002 and now it's 12. How he ever even had dogs is beyond me. Irresponsible. I wish God would send out a plague that would effect murders, child molesters, and dog killers--now that would be justice.

139. All my life we have had an animal of some sort. Mosly dogs. I currently have a part wolf that is my 100 pound baby. Why did I choose a dog with that possible danger? Because the person that had her as a pup was mistreating her and I couldn't bear it. I rescued her and gave her the home she deserved. Breeding be damned. People that are abusive to animals, I simply do not understand. To deliberately breed an animal to bring out it's aggressive side is beyond idiotic. My sister had a pit named Portia that was the sweetest dog you could imagine. She was strong and protective of the children. When my nephew was 3, he could walk her because she was trained and raised with the children. Dogs need their people. There is a reason they are called "domesticated animals." If you have any kind of animal, it should be treated as a part of your family. It should be fed, watered, given a comfortable home and bed, given innoculations and medicine when needed, and most of all love at all times. If you are too busy to care for an animal, then DON'T GET ONE!

As to why this man had 12 dogs, I cannot say. I think it was poor judgement on his part to have these pets he claimed to love and left to be cared for by an idiot, if that is indeed what happened. Any person that has been charged with cruelty to an animal should never be allowed to own another one.

As to race, it is a non issue as far as I am concerned. This was a man that was neglectful, irresponsible, and cruel to hs pets. Period. He should be punished for that reason alone and leave race out of it.

140. If he was charged with animal cruelty in 2002....why was he allowed to have animals again???? Whoever it was that charged him before did a cruel injustice to these animals by not following through! You can't expect a loser to change his bad habits....but if it's recorded that he is an animal abuser...it should be the same as when you are a sex abuser. The rules apply across the board for them...regardless of the caliber of crime. It should be the same for these idiots who are allowed to buy a dog license!

142. It is people like DMX that should not be allowed to own an animal. I had the displeasure of meeting him. Was extremely disappointed. Thought he was all that and a bag of chips. Animal crulety to me is disgusting. I think people who abuse animails, go on to do harm to humans. Animals are so defenceless. He is just so out of the limelight, he is using, sick and twisted stories like this to get publicity. DMX who!

144. The public who buys this rapper's music should boycott him permanently. He is a terrible example of a man. He has let down his family, his race, and his community. I hope he ends up in jail and gets to spend his time working in AZ heat. He deserves to be punished severely.

145. I hate the fact that Vick and DMX did this, let me start by saying I do not condone what they did and I spend alot of my free time trying to get people like them put in jail. I have participated in a dog fighting bust and have seen first hand the condition these dogs are in. I have also been the one who has held them as they took their last breath but let me just fill you in the one bad side of this....PETA is jumping up and down, screaming about this whole thing. Yet, at their shelter in Virginia they euathanize 95% of the dogs that come in there. Adoptable dogs at that, not just "red zone" dogs. They also support breed specific legislation, so all of you who own pit's or american bulldogs can thank PETA when the police are knocking on your door to take your animal away. I'm not saying everything they do is bad, I am behind them when it comes to circus animals and factory farming. But please don't be hypocrites and if you wish to support PETA that's fine to but do some research and then decide where to put your money. There are thousands of animal rescue's out there that could use your money worse than PETA.

150. ............................E-mail Sony/Urban Music and tell them that they just signed a contract with a lowlife........... that you will NOT buy his product..........that you will BOYCOTT DMX in whatever way possible.........and if they think the press coverage is a good thing, THINK again...........dog fighting and dog abuse and lowlife, anti-social behavior, for the buck,...... will not get YOUR money..........Tell Sony to take a look at what Reebok and Nike did in regard to Vick..............that this contract is going to bring them more trouble than they understand............AMERICA will not stand for dog fighting and dog abuse...............AND most of all, will boycott ALL Sony products if they continue to deal with DMX...............your e-mails can make a difference that you will never know about................arguing with the DMX supporters on this site will not hurt DMX or help dogs..........Pressure on the money people, WILL, hurt DMX and help dogs by eliminating one more like Vick............
