Celebrity Justice
Lane Garrison Moved to Start Serving Time

TMZ has learned that Lane Garrison has been moved to the California Institute for Men, the state prison in Chino, Calif., for 90 days. He arrived at 9:51 AM PT.

A judge sent Garrison to the prison for 90 days to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine if he's suitable for probation. A hearing will be held on October 31 that will determine Garrison's fate. He'll either be set free on probation or serve more prison time.

Garrison was drunk and driving on the night of December 2, 2006, when he crashed his Range Rover, killing 17-year-old Vahagn Setian. Two teenage girls in the car were seriously injured.

48. Yah know everyone has been crucifying him and I think its kind of sad.Yes he drove when he definetly should not be driving, but its must of been obvious to those kids who got into that car with him.And its not like they were forced,or shoved in they volunteerly went into that vehicle and they in turn chose to put their lives in his hands.Yes it was stupid of him,but if your going to blame him blame them also because they went to that party with him,so they weren't being good either.Yes he should know better than them since he is older, but its not like they were little kids who didn't know right from wrong.Yes its tragic a young man died, but people need to stop blaming and start forgiving.Blaming and name calling never help.I'm sure he already feels guilty, but isn't everyone allowed to mess up?

52. The simple facts to this tragic story is that no matter how much time Lane serves he will be living a life sentence, every time he has a drink, goes to sleep or gets behind the wheel he will always see that boys face and that is punishment enough. The reasons the boy got into Lane's car and the reason Lane drunk and drove is that no matter who you are everyone has made a mistake in their lives but this is one he will live with forever remorseful or not and this should apply to every citizen and not just celebs. It is not meant to be an eye for an eye drink drivers ruin lives they don't belong in jail they don't go out there and say tonight I am going to get wrecked get in car crash it and kill someone it is just a split second of madness where you might have drunk to much but you don't realise it people that drink drive have issues and need professional counselling.

54. At least he took responsibility for his actions which no ACTORS do nowaday, it always a EXPENSE ATTORNEY, and JUSTICE that let them back in the streets/world. HE DESERVES A 2ND CHANCE COMPARED TO EVERYONE ELSE, so leave him alone he's suffered enough!!!!!

56. So let me get this straight:This guy kills a human being and gets 90 days. Mike Vick kills dogs and is facing YEARS in jail. Since when is a dog's life worth more than a human's life? This s crap.

59. Kay Stick to Texas justice, because it seams your get your facts from the tabloids only. California is a very large and densely populated state. Many people get arrested everyday. Most Cannot afford Million dollar plea bargaining lawyers, and get stuck in the system. Yes criminals do go to jail here. No justice is not equal for everyone, its as just as the quality of attorney you can afford. Most likely the same in Texas. We just happen to have a large portion of idiot celebrities here that get in trouble as often as I go to the grocery store.

60. Lana, what would your justice be?
Kay how about you? You seen to have an attitude about everything?

He admitted guilt, and accepted responsibility. It was a tragic accident, for which he is paying a huge price. He is responsible for the death and should be held accountable.
He is in prison, and will most likely be transferred after this 90 day evaluation to Concoran high security prison, where he gets to serve out his punishment with high security inmates. Most of who did choose there fate. He will have to live the rest of his life knowing that he was responsible for killing someone else. What else would you like? Would you like to have him Drawn and Quartered? How about a pound of his flesh? What sentence would satisfy you? I'm just curious, so many people think he came off easy, right now he's looking at about 7 years...........

Sweetgirl... I have to side with Bobo on this one . Drunk driving and killing someone is not just "messing up" its murder. And No, everyone is not allowed to mess up in this manner. That is why society expects him to do his time and pay the price.
