Lane Garrison Moved to Start Serving Time

TMZ has learned that Lane Garrison has been moved to the California Institute for Men, the state prison in Chino, Calif., for 90 days. He arrived at 9:51 AM PT.

A judge sent Garrison to the prison for 90 days to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine if he's suitable for probation. A hearing will be held on October 31 that will determine Garrison's fate. He'll either be set free on probation or serve more prison time.

Garrison was drunk and driving on the night of December 2, 2006, when he crashed his Range Rover, killing 17-year-old Vahagn Setian. Two teenage girls in the car were seriously injured.

63. I've never heard of someone having a psychological evaluation to determine if they can serve probation...only to determine if they're fit to stand trial. WTF?

I respect the fact that Lane took responsibility for his actions, and appears to have genuine regret and sorrow. This cannot bring back the lost life, of course. But it elicits compassion in me.

I used to work with a guy -- a "commoner" who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the car accident death of a co-worker. Cocaine was detected in the driver's blood. He did not serve a single day in jail.

So, folks, it's not just celebrities. Does that make it right? I dunno. Fair? A bit more.

65. Can we all get real here - He pleaded guilty only after it was known that his blood test would show signs of drugs and over the legal limit for alcohol.

Do you all remeber what his attorney said after the accident it may have been a mechanical problem with the steering on the SUV and also Lame I mean Lane himself saying he did not drink more than a shot of liquor at the party.

He pleased guilty becuase it was his only chance for the judge to perhaps cut him some slack. Trust you and and me if his attorney though he could fight the charges and win he would have not plead guilty.

Also the kid knows his days of earning money from acting are over and I am sure he decided to preserve what ever money he has left rather than give it to the sharks.

67. Jennzz and Elizabeth are complete and utter idiots to say the least. I don't know which one of your better yet the both of you needs to accompany a jail cell with the idiot who took the life of that young man! Regardless if he was drunk or not isn't an excuse to downplay what this idiot did. PERIOD!!!! Not a day goes by that I am not surprised by the like of iof embeciles such as Jennzz and Elizabeth who continue to pollute our society with their mindless banter. Simply put you are both complete Jackasses with your comments!!!
