Vick: I Was Part of a Group That Killed Dogs

TMZ has obtained the plea agreement in the Michael Vick case. In it, Vick "admits the facts set forth in the statement of facts."

A portion of the summary of facts reads "Vick agreed to the killing of approximately 6-8 dogs that did not perform well in testing sessions ..." It continues, "All of those dogs were killed by various methods, including hanging and drowning."

The plea agreement reads, "the defendant agrees to forfeit all interests in any and all dogs involved (in) an animal fighting venture that the defendant owns or over which the defendant exercises control ... including but not limited to the approximately 54 pit bulldogs recovered from the residence ... "

The agreement also states that Vick will plead guilty to charges of conspiracy and sponsoring a dog in an animal fighting venture. He's also admitted to providing funding for dog food, medicine and purse fees for dog fighting competitions.

Vick could face up to 5 years in prison along with a substantial fine.

76. this message is for the individual called "GET OVER IT " , my comments was to compare how there's more people in the world making bad decisions other than Mr. Vick. i used George W. Bush for example because we dont hear NONE of this type of anger and animosity towards him and how his administration runs this country. 80. If this "man" sees anything less than the 5 years maximum that he should be sentenced for, there is something seriously wrong with the already dodgy legal system. It is already appalling that persons found guilty of animal cruelty, only pay minimal fines and zero jail time. If we're all as disgusted with this and other acts of cruelty, we need to get the laws and penalties that are in place changed, with harsher punishments. America: these are the kinds of people are children and society are looking to as role models... SCARY!!

Typically, I would agree, but just this week we had a case here in Washington State where two pit bulls entered the home of a woman, attacked her, and killed a Jack Russell Terrier in her home before she could escape to her car and call police. When animals actually escape their own yards and "hunt" out like that, there is a problem with the breed. These two dogs were owned by a loving family too, treated and trained well.

82. Oh-#65......get you head out of your a**. Hunting and dogfighting are two totally different things. While, in both cases, the result is most likely a dead animal, there are distinct differences. #1) Hunting is LEGAL (I may not like it but it is). It's used for food, and to control the deer population. #2) In deer hunting, you are not pitting two animals who have been trained to fight against one another for amusement. #3) Gambling is not involved. The list goes on and on, but anyone who brings hunting and race into this just don't get it. Morons.

"Mistakes" I can forgive. But to actually not have the good judgement and moral character to say "STOP!" to so-called friends when there is clear and evident abuse and torture going on--animal or human--is unforgiveable.

It is the strong and courageous person that can stand up to the crowd when something so terribly wrong is going on. Vick is not this person.

Don't even try to compare the two. I do not believe in hunting, but when we were growing up and my father was laid off from a coal mine, hunting of rabbits and deer were sometimes a matter of food for our family.

Torturing dogs is in another class all by itself....it has nothing to do with black and white. If it were Peyton Manning, I would feel the exact same way. Wait though, he would never do something as barbaric....he was raised with more respect and class than Michael Vick. He's a demented sociopath.

90. I think instead of euthanizing all his dogs we should euthanize him. He doesn't deserve to live after the things he has done to innocent dogs. Mike Vicks is a monster and 5 years is not nearly enough. I agree that 7 years for every dog he killed sounds fair. We need stricter laws on these people and we need them now. We need to stand up for those who don't have a voice.
