Celebrity Justice
Things One Can Do in 82 Minutes

After Nicole Richie's short jail stint on Thursday (if you can even call it that), we got to thinking -- what could one do in 82 minutes or less?

Here's our list. Post yours in comments!

-Listen to the Lionel Richie album "Dancing on the Ceiling": 47 minutes

-Watch the DVD of "Cops: Bad Girls": 50 minutes

-Check out Lindsay Lohan in "I Know Who Killed Me": Yes, it's 104 minutes, but who can sit through the whole thing?

-Successively microwave 10 Stouffer's Country Fried Beef Steaks: 8 minutes each

-Enjoy "Pocahontas" with your children: 81 minutes

-Perform a laparoscopic appendectomy: 60 minutes

-Eat 66 Nathan's hot dogs: 12 minutes (Joey Chestnut only)

-Blink 9,840 times: 82 minutes

17. I strongly believe that celebrities get special treatmenttttttttttttts that non celebrities would not get with the legal system. How are we suppose to trust the legal system. Celebrities can violate any rules and they still would get way with that. The legal system and other institutions offer special treatment to the richhhhhhhhh and famous, but a normal citizen would not get away with that. MONEYYYYYYYYYY ALWAYSSSSSSS TALK....... IT IS PATHETIC HOW THE LEGAL SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.

19. If you are rich in LA, the justice system doesn't have time to put you in jail because it's overcrowded with those losers poor folks. I' m shocked they even arrested her. They should have just drove her home and had another cop drive her car home for her. Keep an eye on the Phil Spector trial, because he shot a woman dead and said, she committed suicide. He may go free and then we know the LA system is really screwed!!

21. In 82 minutes I could get drunk or high, get behind the wheel of my vehicle and then kill a whole family.
In 82 minutes I could lie like Martha Stewart and go to jail for six months because lying's worse than a DUI obviously.

23. Spector's trial is taking to damn long if that was an average person this trial would of been done and the guy would be sitting in jail. And the trial would of taken 82 min to convict him.

24. I am absolutely sickened by the early release of Ritchie and the so called one day jail sentence for Lohan. The justice system in California and how it treats celebrities makes me sick. After the judge put Hilton back in jail where she belonged I had some hopes that just maybe these damn idiots the media shoves in our faces would finally have to pay the same price the rest of us do for driving under the influence. Apparently not. The state of California is a major joke and it is a relief that I no longer live there, where the governor is an idiot and the people are bigger idiots for electing him. Obviously the elceted officials who are supposed to uphold the laws aren't there for the people..they are there to put these damn drunks and drug addicts that are so-called celebrities right back on the street to possibly kill someone. God help the innocent people on the roads. As for Ritchie, I am sure she is laughing her ass off over the fact that she once again beat the system....right along with Lohan. Just makes me sick.

25. FIRST THEY SAID THE REASON NICOLE WAS RELEASE BECAUSE OVER CROWD IN JAIL. O.K I'LL TAKE THAT, BUT LET US THINK IF SHE WASN'T IN THE SPOTLIGHT WILL SHE GET OUT OF JAIL 82 MINUTES. I DON'T THINK SO! THE POLICE IN CALIFORNIA ARE A BIG JOKE THEY ARE TELLING CITIZEN THAT TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER YOU HAVE TO BE A STAR. VERY SAD! VERY SAD!

26. 82 minutes, Hmmmmmmmm
I could go to the grocery store, buy a Enquirer magazine, come home, sit on the can, and read the gossip from front cover, to the page that says can you find the 10 differences in the two photos for $100.00, all awhile emptying my bowels from all the crap that I was ingesting. Then I can have a productive day.

27. Nicole has been raised and conditioned to be a 14 year old child forever. Hopefully, someone will take care of her and protect her from real life, and prevent her from killing an innocent person when she's driving around in one of her drug induced, drunken stupors. These young "celebrities" are social freaks, created by the Hollywood machine to generate money making opportunities for paps, producers, agents etc.

28. What if somebody driving around LA has a drink and maybe a little cocaine and then runs over Paris, Nicole and Lindsay.... bump ... bump....bump. That wouldn't be considered a crime would it? I mean, if it's just a regular guy, it would be. But say another celebrity does it? Then it's free, right? Or do they get 90 days for each, like that poor little tard Lane Garrison?

So, 90 days on each one, but then cut that back for "good behavior" to 135 days, then with overcrowding and all, that brings it back down to four, unless he cries, then he gets to go home for one night, which leaves 3 nights back in jail. (Then about after a year after they complete that, they get all charges complelely removed from their permanent records).
