You know if he really had a serious girl -- he'd have her doing this -- nope gay man - now I know kids raised by gay parents and they turned out not gay and very well -- but the parents were open about their sexual preferences -- but the Bahamas do not give custody to gay unmarried male parents.

There are no Marshall Millions for this kid, that's just pubicity PR =$

I begin to wonder why the build up for a 3rd rate even for kid of D lister -- does splash who's paying for this also own is owned by TMZ ?

69. There are a lot of negative responses on here about Dannielyn's first birthday party, however, I think that there are a lot of individuals that are just jealous! Yes, two hundred people is a little much, but there are other celebrities out there that have done far more for their kids 1st birthdays. A lot are trashing Larry for what he does or doesn't do, and the reality is that we are NOT him nor are we in his unique position! Here is a guy, who was told by Anna that they are having a child, then when he tries to get her to stop the drugs, she takes off out of the country and comes up with the idea that Howard is the father and not Larry. Only in the end, it turns out to be the other way around. Here is a guy who had to take on the legal system just to try to see his his daughter, and now people think it is wrong for giving his daughter a certain type of birthday party. Larry is a celebrity in his own way, and probably will be in the future. And then you have the ones who seem to think that he shouldn't put pictures of this child in the magazines-what is the difference if you see pics of Dannielyn or of Brad and Angelina's kids? Don't they over exposed those kids?? This child is the daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith, and that alone will always lead to curiousity of this child's life, whom she is involved with and so on. All Larry wanted, was to be that little girls' father, and people find something wrong with that. Unfortunately, we live in a society where we are not just happy for the next guy, instead we always have to knock him down. I give this man a lot of credit, since he was more than willing and wanting to be the father of this little girl, and for those who seem to think that it is about the money--he has said all along, he just wanted to be the dad. In case you all forget, he is a free lanse photogragher and has been one for sometime now. How sad, how so many people do not give credit to someone who is willing to take on his responsibility of raising a child that he helped bring into this world! There are too many men in this country alone, who turn the other way and just walk away from thier responsibilities when it comes to children, and it wouldn't surprise me if some of the responses are coming from individuals whom have done just that. I wish Larry and this precious child all the best that life has to offer, because there are a lot of cruel people out in the world that don't want happiness to come from this tragic story.

73. Gabrielle, Comparing them to Brad and Angelina is not a fair comparison. First of all, people aren’t jealous. Secondly, Brad & Angelina were famous before they had children. They aren’t supporting their kids and themselves by selling pictures of their kids. Any money they have received from photos of their kids went to charity. They have an identity in the public eye outside of being their children’s parents, unlike Birkhead who is a celebrity because of his daughter.

74. This is very strange. She's one year old, for goodness' sake. This party isn't for the baby. It's clearly for the publicity and the money. I don't even understand why it's newsworthy, but it's been in the news for weeks. Babies turn one every day. So what.

I had hoped Birkead would raise Dannielynn in a normal manner, but it appears he is every bit as much a gold-digger as her mother Anna Nicole. This little girl has zero chance of ever living a normal life. What a shame.

75. #58(FAT AND DUMB KID WITH...) Don't get me wrong, I like larry and the baby. But the real reason anyone has these huge parties for a 1 yr old is never really for the child. It's to show off to other parents and compete with other parents for who's kiddy party is more over the top. I see this going on with my nieces parents, all their friends with kids, all my friends with kids. It's a big LOOK AT US and our $ for the parents. In this case it's probably also for photo ops for pics that will be published in OK and US magazine.
