UPDATE: Nick Hogan is reportedly in serious condition, but the passenger in the car sustained more severe injuries. He is listed in critical condition.
Hulk Hogan's son, Nick, was seriously injured in a car accident tonight in Clearwater, Fla.
Law enforcement tells TMZ the accident occurred around 7:31 PM ET. According to police, a Toyota Supra, driven by Nick Bollea (Hogan's real name), was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it lost control and hit a raised median. The car was flipped around and the back end hit a palm tree. The impact, we're told, "destroyed the entire car." The two male occupants were flown by Medivac helicopter from the accident scene to a hospital in St. Petersburg. We're told both men had "very very serious" injuries.
The accident happened on Court Street, a main drag in downtown Clearwater, causing the entire street to be shut down for hours.
No 911 call was made to police. The accident was called in by an officer who rolled up right after the crash happened.

I have children, including a teen son. He understands his actions have consequences and could affect others. I also have lost someone (very special to me) to a similar MISTAKE...it's not an accident. I have been on all sides and feel the same way. I hope both of them make it and learn from it. The friends and family are in my thoughts and prayers. However, I will not condone it like several here. Yes, some of you are condoning it, even though you may not admit to it.

God Bless the whole family during this hard time and the family of the other boy. No matter who was at fault, it was a horrable accident that I am sure Nick is very sorry for. God Speed and best wishes for a healthy recovery for both the boys.
accidents happen to all of us for one reason or another. Lets just all hope that Nick survives this and gets well soon .

Like this wasn't predictable? This kid is over indulged and patted on the back by his dad every time he engages in bad behavior. Hulk has his head stuck in the '50s with his "atta boy" reactions to his son's antics. What's it going to take for him to wise up? Does his kid have to kill someone or die before he sees that encouraging his wild ways is the wrong thing to do?
People are so quick to blame this accident on Nick being famous... or associated with fame. Does anyone know how many teenage boys are involved in serious car accidents from speeding? I guess everyone of you are perfect parents with perfect kids. God bless you Hogan family!

My prayers are with the Bollea/Hogan family as well as the family of the man in the car with Nick. It's very clear that Hulk Hogan and his wife care deeply for their children and I'm sure their hearts were breaking when they heard this. Good Luck and God Bless.

Why is everyone focusing so much on Nick? Just because he's a celebrity doosn't mean he should be thought of more. There were two people in that car and honestly, if I was really going to think of and pray for them, I would pray for the other guy.
The crash was most likely Nick's fault (thinking he was some badass racer) than anyone or anything else's.
There was another person with him and lets not forget about him. I am sure his parents are very upset too. TMZ reported that the other guy is in more serious condition. I know we can't leave comments for the other guy but lets not forget him in prayer.
