Nick Hogan in Serious Car Accident

Nick HoganUPDATE: Nick Hogan is reportedly in serious condition, but the passenger in the car sustained more severe injuries. He is listed in critical condition.

Hulk Hogan's son, Nick, was seriously injured in a car accident tonight in Clearwater, Fla.

Law enforcement tells TMZ the accident occurred around 7:31 PM ET. According to police, a Toyota Supra, driven by Nick Bollea (Hogan's real name), was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it lost control and hit a raised median. The car was flipped around and the back end hit a palm tree. The impact, we're told, "destroyed the entire car." The two male occupants were flown by Medivac helicopter from the accident scene to a hospital in St. Petersburg. We're told both men had "very very serious" injuries.

The accident happened on Court Street, a main drag in downtown Clearwater, causing the entire street to be shut down for hours.

No 911 call was made to police. The accident was called in by an officer who rolled up right after the crash happened.

363. The Hogans are a good family and God be with them during this tragic, and unfortunate time. Nick's car was obviously traveling at a high rate of speed based on the factual evidence and it is no secret Nick likes to speed. I hope for his sake he has learned a valuable lesson about speeding and will keep the speeding on the race track rather than in the streets where innocent people can be hurt. I hope for a quick recovery for Nick and his friend.

364. I am so very sorry for the Hogan family, unfortunately in situations like this it does not matter what the person's status may be. Celebrity or not, we need to all take into consideration the actions we take. You are all in my prayers; may God bless you and keep your family safe, I wish Nick a speedy and healthy recovery.

367. Nick,

I hope your friend is o.k. now. they always show the worst and never finish the story by telling if your friend is ok. Just know that there is people out there that know this was all a mistake and forgive you.

368. REALITY CHECK, The kid is 16 years old, just learning to drive. GIVE him a toyota and then have it upgraded to a full-blown race car and let him drive it on city streets!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE, the Huklster, Hulk Hogan is 99% to blame for this, he has proven to have poor judgement to say the least and I feel BOTH of them should be held as accountable , dirvers license revoked for minimum a year, hundreads of hours of community service and paying for the recovery and well being of the friend who he hurt!!!

369. An accident happened to a young man, regardless of fault he is still a kid and it is still a precious life. We have only one life to live and I hope that Nick makes it through this ordeal and learns from any mistakes he has made. Pray for a recovery not a top story. He is young and I hope he gets to enjoy the rest of his life. The passenger was hurt as well, try to remember BOTH individuals and their families in your prayers.

May God watch over all those involved,

Jay-WV

370. It was not an accident, it was a teenager driving like he was in a race on a city street.... IN A RACE CAR. That is not an accident. There is a reason we have speed limits.

372. I can remember when Nick was taking drifting lessons,he really seemed to enjoy that I think if he wants to pursue a career that involves speeding he should do so with the right training and seek the proper training by professionals. My prayers are with him and his passengers families.May God be with them and give them all the strength to get through this hard time

374. i know the bolie family. my husband is a werstler. I think we as parents give our kids to much lee way. at 17 he should have never had a fast moving car like that. knowing he likes speed.terry you let your kids get away with way to much. god speed to johns recovery. and maybe just maybe this will finally teach nick that just because dad is hulk hogan doesn't make it ok to do half the things he does.
