Miss Teen USA Hopeful -- Say What?!

151. Thankfully the sealed and stamped application to enter my ''intelligent, responsible, caring, mature, wise teen daughter' GORGEOUS, stunning, classy, and raised with old-fashioned self-respect...will never be mailed.

My recent high school grad. was going to enter this pageant hoping to represent Colorado.
Regardless of future opportunities, ie; college scholarships, contacts, etc. It's obvious the standard by which these contestants are judged is ..superficial, bleached blonde pretty, monied family /political....

I'm shocked she placed 4th!!!!!

What an insult to real-life, beautiful young ladies striving to be successful.independent of a sugar-daddy and trying to get-ahead...those hopeful naive young ladies that are qualified...but passed over and ignored.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time/when..not if'; that this bubble head will be further demeaning herself in a spread with playboy.

This example of dumb female,pretty, future trophy girl is disgusting....but hey, I can think of PLENTY!! of dumb male jocks that used their fingers and toes to count. Maybe a male pageant is appropo and long overdue!!!!!
I'm up for new joke material...

152. When she appeared on a morning news show she made a comment about talking to her friends about finding the USA on a map. She claims they all could do it and that she doesn't even know anyone who can't find the USA on a map. She then correctly answered the question when reasked it by the host. It seemed as if she had to go home and ask her friends for the answer because she was too dumb to come up with one when asked a second time! She claims she only heard part of the question. If so, why didn't she ask to have it repeated before attempting to answer it? What an airhead! And yes, she'll probably get accepted into an Ivy League school on a scholarship! Go figure.

155. Unfortunately, Upton thought getting a boob job would be more important than becoming literate, intelligent, and well-educated. The most she can hope for is becoming a bimbo "trophy wife"- all looks, no brains. Her sugar Daddy will dump her when he gets bored and realizes she is incapable of forming coherent sentences..or THINKING.

156. She didn't win so justice was done but I think they should leave her alone & not make fun of her publicly. However, it just proved the judge's point, that today's generation has little clue or care about geography or the rest of the world.

157. pretty girl. beautiful dress. I'd like to think that she got nervous and her mind went blank. Happens alot in front of an audience. Yea, I HAVE to beleive that because I'd really hate to think that this is a normal response from her.

158. Oh my gosh, I couldnt believe my ears but she really sounded foolish and if she has no intelligence. But, no one is perfect and she represents many youths who have brains rather than beauty. But she will get by because of her looks. She makes the term 'dumb blonde' materialise. Poor soul and she probably didnt know that she sounded very foolish.

159. Oh dear, what is this chile's I.Q? Minus 1 or minus 4? There should have been some other questionnaire in the prelims where the judges could have known that this girl is not bright, how on earth could she have made it so far in the competition? Dumb blonde indeed!

160. I'm a proud Sourthern girl, but that "gal" gives me goose bumps. Did she even make it past the fifth grade, when it was cool to talk like that??? Trust me, folks, this girl isn't indicative of the true Southern girl. Those of us who actually work to get where we are and can't rely on boob power find this disgusting. Someday, though, she's gonna have to get a real job. I know! Modeling and marrying a quarterback! There's the ticket!

162. People are always waiting for someone like this to make a mistake and celebrate. She handled it with dignity and class saying she was overwhelmed and rolled with the punches. She made fun of herself and was strong. Now all the haters made her famous because she is now doing a geography piece for People Magazine, she was articulate and showed her personality on MTV and who knows what is next. She was an honor student in High School with a 4.0 average, president of SkillsUSA, and has a full acedemic scholarship to ASU. It was her first time on national TV and she froze ,she didn't hurt anyone but herself. If I had a dollar for everyone I said Blah,blah,blah to I could buy the losers who picked on her a life. Kudos to Miss Upton for turning this around on the malicious mean-spirited thugs who's thoughts are ghost written by some dork disc jockey. And I hope their sister,mother or anyone for that matter never gets stage fright and has to deal with people like them. And kudos to MTV,The Today Show and People Magazine for countering this culture of making fun of people.
