TMZ has obtained the following statement from Owen Wilson:
"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
Andrew Wilson, Owen and Luke's older brother, was spotted by TMZ cameras going into Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles late this morning. Andrew ignored questions about his brother's condition.
According to People, Luke also visited Owen last night.
31. Some of you people are real morons! Just because he is rich and famous doesnt mean that he cant have a mental illness or other serious issues in his life.
I am not a big fan of his for his acting but if he did try to take his life, I hope he gets the help he needs.

34. It infuriates me that people crack degrading jokes over other people's pain.
Those who have no compassion should be made to suffer so they will finally respect and understand what other's are experiencing, and how their attitudes contribute towards it.

36. #10 - Tarawa - You forgot to include Owen's childhood or possible family history of suicide. For all we know he may have a grandparent who died of suicide. This increases your risk of attempting suicide by about 500 %. Additionally, we don't know what happened to him in his childhood. Perhaps there was severe emotional abuse. Perhaps he suffers from depression. But before you rush to judgement on Wilson, I would suggest that you read up on the voluminous literature out there on the reasons people attempt suicide.

43. I'm glad to hear Owen Is ok. He is a very funny and likeable actor. I wish him well in his recovery and I hope it makes him stronger. Hope it wasn't depression or anything like because of Kate dating Dax. I'm sure he was quite in love with Kate. I was surprised when they split, they had made a good couple. I don't know what Kate sees in Dax.
Anyway, I know the stars don't read these comments, however, if one of his spokepersons do,,,
Owen, ask Jennifer Aniston out. I think you two would make a great couple!!. Seriously.

45. Look....he isnt the greatest actor...he is kinda cute and kinda funny in his own way. He still has too much growing up to do to be married. And even though the general public "SEES" everything that an actor goes through we really dont know everything.
Basically what I am saying is that he is human. That is why we should care. This is his first public cry for help...he has my empathy.
Now if it occurs again and again...my empathy stops and I begin to view you like I do Lindsy Lohan....Britney Spears et al.
