TMZ has obtained the following statement from Owen Wilson:
"I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
Andrew Wilson, Owen and Luke's older brother, was spotted by TMZ cameras going into Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles late this morning. Andrew ignored questions about his brother's condition.
According to People, Luke also visited Owen last night.

I have always admired Owen Wilson's acting and public behavior. Unfortunately, as we have found out in the past, fame and money are not all there is in life. Too many people are still unhappy with the way the rest of their life is going. I hope he gets the help he needs and that we see him in films again.

It's funny how people always "know someone who hung out with..." and repeat the garbage they hear as gospel. Give the guy a break. He's in the hospital and he's clearly unwell--no matter what the problem is, OD, suicide, whatever. It's pretty sad that people can't feel a little sympathy for a guy who obviously needs some help.

Many blessings to the Owen family. But TMZ...... you have a picture of LUKE WILSON not OWEN WILSON! and Owen is the one in the hospital so for all those comments about the nose job...... I feel really bad for him. Depression can be a chemical thing. I hate to read when people say he is a loser and why would he if he is so rich and famous. I tell you all that being rich or whatever doesn't make you happy if you have mental anguish. I really hope he gets the help he needs and gets over his depression. So sad that a funny person who makes me laugh can be so depressed. Get better Owen, maybe you'll find something to live for.

Owen and his movies always make me laugh. That's what entertainment is all about. I hope whatever he is able to work through whatever issues he has going on. No need for all the cruel comments. If you don't appreciate the humor in the movies he is in, don't watch them.
