Train Wrecks
In-laws Urge Winehouse Boycott

Trainwreck Amy Winehouse's in-laws are so unhappy with her out-of-control behavior, they're asking fans to say "No, no no!" by boycotting her records in order to send a message that "her addiction and behavior are not acceptable."

Giles Fielder-Civil told BBC Radio 5 this morning that he believes his son and daughter-in-law are drug addicts in denial. "They both need to get medical help before one of them, if not both of them, dies," said Giles. He added that his son Blake would be, "very, very cross," with her for speaking out publicly about their personal dramas.

"We're concerned that if one of them dies, the other will die. They're a very close couple and if one dies through substance abuse, the other will commit suicide."

After the interview, Amy's father Mitch called into the station and blasted the idea, saying that Blake's parents are "clutching at straws."

Meanwhile, Amy and Blake are currently kickin' it on an island in the Caribbean.

17. I agree cut off her funding. Her Label should keep all her money until she kills herself then give it all to charity

18. Amy Winehouse is a true musical talent, a very unique artist with a special gift. However, she is so very sick in terms of her addictions and seemingly bent on self-destruction. I really hope she can overcome her demons, it would be shame on a musical and human-level if she were to die at this stage...and it's unfortunately looking more and more likely. It's so refreshing to see a musical talent that is genuine and not 'pre-packaged' - even if she looks grungy or as though she's trying to look as sketchy as possible. Live, stoned, depressed, happy or high as a kite - the lady can sing! Hopefully she doesn't go the way of other troubled stars like Janis Joplin, Karen Carpenter, etc. Get well, Amy! You don't have to burn out (or fade away) young to be a star - you don't have to suffer so much for your art!

19. Finally! Parents who have a clue and actually care about the well-being of their famous children. Its tough to sit and watch someone you love destroy themselves. I'm sure both sets of parents are desperate to get them help in any way they can. I hope the tough love works.

21. Maybe his parents should mind their own business. None of us, them included, knows what's going on with the two of them, and their addiction issues. I think boycotting her albums is a piss poor excuse for an answer. If those were my parents, I'd be livid for them speaking to the press about me without my concent. I believe lawsuits have been formed from less and I think it would be totally justified if he wanted to take them to court. Families should keep their personal matters personal. Period.

22. I don't see how boycotting her records is going to help her get rid of her addiction...she isn't going to change until she wants to, which may be never. But, here's to hoping she starts to take care of herself, because she is an amazing talent and it would be a shame to lose her at such a young age...

25. Seems a little harsh, but if people like Wino's music they're going to buy it regardless of her personal life. Seems like both she and her husband have families that care about them and support them, which most addicts do not have. She's lucky to get along with her parents and so is her husband and I think their family's strength and support will be key in her overcoming her addictions. And I hope she does, she is so young. And talented. With Avril Lavigne totally selling out, the music world needs a new anti-Britney - if she'd stop getting wasted at her concerts or just plain not showing up.

27. I must say that after seeing pics of her and her man all scratched up I think they've probably both come closer to death than they realize. I love her music and her voice, but I had no idea she was that out of control.

28. Number 4 & 15...I did not know her music either and was so courious that I went and bought "Back to Black". I was blown away and immediately bought her first album "Frank". I think she is an amazing talent. Talent like her's does not come around every day. She writes music, sings and plays instruments. I wish her much luck, she really needs to clean up her act. I too don''t want to see her end up like so many other great artists. Number 15, well said. Clean up Amy, you've got lot's of people that care about your music and want to continue enjoying new material for years to come.....

30. Since I have heard about Amy Winehouse on TMZ, I decided to listen to her album yesterday, when I was at the Virgin Megastore. It was actually a really good album. She sounds nothing like the way she looks. I did not buy her album, but she has skills!
