Tiger Hunted in Manhattan

A wild autograph seeker was on the hunt for Tiger Woods last night in NYC.

TMZ was outside of Butter, where Tiger and his super-hot wife made a police-escorted dash to their SUV. The ink seeker yelled, "Tiger, you can't sign? Help out the brother man," as Woods ran right past him.

The autograph hound then followed the SUV about 40 blocks to Trump World Tower and again started screaming for Tiger to sign. Tiger finally ditched him.

31. I don't blame Tiger for what he did. Most athletes and celebs are very accomodating but you have to come at them correct. Chasing them with a camera is not the move. Some athletes and celebs can be real butt-holes but so can some fans......

32. So how much was he going to sell the autograph for on ebay?

33. I occasionally work around locations with celebrities. Some are not willing to sign for an assortment of reasons, not always because of being an a-hole. Some are genuinely busy and need to concentrate, even if you don't realise it. Only a few really are just stuck up.

When someone asks me for an autograph, I find it simpler to sign, rather than tell them that I'm not really famous. Signing takes a second, while telling them that they probably don't really want it could take a minute and they'd be so certain that I must be lying. Besides, it's fun to sign something besides a check or credit card receipt.

TMZ take note: I just might be about to become famous. A new project coming up could be my big break. I love having my picture taken and I'll always have time for you, if Harvey sends me a personally autographed 8X10. Love ya, mean it, let's do lunch!

34. You are all pretty damn scary... It's a piece of paper with ink on it. Kids think they are cool and if they are very careful, they wind up with something very valuable...

What's the story behind this autograph when he shows it off? I followed him everywhere, interrupted his dinner, fought through his body guards, chased his car, wow, man, I had to miss work while I followed him all over Manhattan... STALKER!!!!

By the way gai, his fans know when to ask, where to ask and be genuinely grateful he gave it to us, like Andy in 22, go to an event and get it there. Sorry if you can't afford the admission, then you don't deserve the autograph. If you are a true fan, you will wait until the round is over and meet him where he is signing. Half the people who want his autographs aren't golf connoisseurs.

Some of you are so ignorant, he shouldn't have to give his autograph freely if you only knew how much money he gives back. Do yourselves a favor and educate yourselves about a person before you pass judgement.

By the way, I am a woman that follows golf. I have several autographs form golfers, Tiger, Ernie, Phil, Rory, Jespar that my daughter and I have collected over the last 15 years attending tournaments in Phoenix, Nevada and all through California. We did not stalk these people to obtain and it was awesome to actually converse with them normally. That's when there is true meaning to an autograph...

35. Screw this guy trying to get an autograph. If he wants one go to an event where he signs them. Don't stalk him on the street you crack head.

38. I don't even know why TMZ put this here, Tiger is soooo not for here, the people here that don't like him don't realize he doesn't need their affection, not like Paris & Britney, they need us coming here to look at the photos they sell of themselves to be popular -

I have never seen a banner or ad on here for AIG or THE FORDHAM COMPANY or PING sad to say but it's quite ethic group divided, the W's that are middle to high class don't have anything bad to say about Tiger for reasons that are only obvious to those people.

The B's on here (with the very small exception of the few that have risen above blaming the man) that have NO IDEA, WHAT-SO-EVER WHY TIGER IS TIGER will only cry sellout, stuck up & snob.

TMZ, let's just leave Tiger's news to PGA.Com where the people argue about whether or not he's lost his mojo or if his game is off because of the new baby, or if & when he'll beat Jack's record not what he chooses to do with his personal life.

Tiger Woods is famous, not a Celebrity .... at least not like the kind here. Tiger doesn't court the media, he doesn't even club that much.

He's a good guy, family man without scandal and a BRILLIANT GOLFER and for those of us who know what it means to fight for a tee-time he deserves everything he has & for me as a Black person, I AM PROUD OF TIGER WOOD'S 1/3 REPRESENTATION OF OUR RACE.

40. I met Tiger a few years ago,he is a really nice guy, and extremely shy, he is uncomfortable with all the attenion.
Some celebrities start out just doing something they love- they werent seeking fame, a true fan would respect their privacy.

42. This loser is not a "fan." This loser is looking to make a quick buck off of a celebrity. He doesn't watch golf. He doesn't follow Tiger's career.
Go outside The Fours Seasons or The Trump Hotel... just count the number of photogs that sit there all freakin' day waiting, just waiting, for someone, anyone famous... so they can take a photo or get something signed. And the best? They omnipresent messenger bag out of which they pull a glossy bootleg 8x10" photo of whoever they hear is in town that week... and they have multiple copies? Honey, those aren't because they're diehard fans -- they are money hungry, lazy-ass autograph hounds who will simply turn around and sell those things to memorabilia stores or post them online to sell on E-Bay!
Don't think anything otherwise.
Stand outside the studios for Letterman or Regis & Kelly or Today Show... the same old faces, with the same old bootleg photos, LP albums or the best -- interchangeable pickguards for electric guitars -- line up shouting for celebrities to sign their crap. These are NOT fans. These are a cottage industry looking to line their pockets.
But if you are too easy to believe whatever celebrity is just being mean and rude and aloof because someone making money off of filing photos, video or leaking information to gossip sites (like this one) you are looking to believe the worst. Give these celebrities a little credit - they know a stalker when they see one, they know a fan when they see one and they can certainly spot a quasi-wannabe-professional autograph hound when they see one.

45. This guy stands outside Regis and Kelly everyday and yells at famous people and threatens them. He's an idiot and thats why he cant get an autograph and ruins it for real fans.
