Hogan's Injured Buddy Just Back From Iraq

John Graziano, Nick HoganThe Nick Hogan car crash gravely injured a US Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, returning just last October.

The St. Petersburg Times reported today that John Graziano, Nick's friend and passenger, joined the corps after graduating in 2003, serving twice in Iraq. The marine is still in "very serious condition," and his health status "hasn't changed since he arrived" at the hospital early Sunday morning. One of the men who found Graziano at the scene was the brother of one of Graziano's best friends.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ -- God forbid -- worst case scenario, Nick Hogan could face charges of gross vehicular manslaughter, if there's proof that alcohol, excessive speeding or drag racing were involved. The maximum sentence is 15 years in prison.

Witnesses told the Times that they saw Hogan's Toyota racing a Dodge Viper just before the crash.

62. WOW--Almost all of these comments are so brutal. Yes, he may have been racing, but I'm sure his intentions were not to injure his friend or himself for that matter. I agree a punsihment should be given, but some of these comments are ridiculous. Hulk and Linda keep a tight leash on the kids, but maybe they just slipped up. You people should be praying for both families involved instead of dreaming up cruel punishments for Nick. I pray that John recovers and Nick and his family have peace and privacy in this difficult time.

63. Send Nick to Iraq, there he can races for his life when a bomb explored.

64. Hogans--give your son, Nick, a big hug and count your blessings that he is still alive and not injured. Take a deep breath. Now beat the crap out of the kid for being such a moron. Losing his car and license should be the minimum punishment he should get.

Attention should be directed toward the care of the other young man. Prayers to him and his family. Hogans step up and take charge of your underage son's situation.

67. To Linda and Terry Bollea Hogan...god help you this time. Witnesses to your son drag racing and a young man in the hospital in extreme critical condition. My oh my. The 2 of you need a real reality check and get your asses off of your so called reality show and get real with this son of yours. You have raised an immature punk. All the speeding tickets and still you let him drive. Taking a car out while he was 14...and still you let him get a license at 16. Drives a souped up and very expensive car, that Linda says he bought himself....must have one hell of an allowance. I don't blame Nick so much as I blame the parents. I have seen their show....what jerks. And their son is turning out to be an even bigger jerk. There is love and then there is down right stupidity and they may love NIck but as parents they are plain stupid. No limits on that kid whatsoever. He will be 18 one day and no longer a minor. He will skate on this one, I have no doubt. It may take this happening when he is an adult and killing someone before the justice system finally puts a stop to his immature and rotten behavior. Driving is a priveledge, not a right. And I am so damn sick of Nick and punks like him putting us all in danger. Terry and Linda.....grow up before it is too late for your son.

68. Do you honestly think that if something happened, that Nick would go to jail???? I dont think so, he will have to stay in jail for 45 mins in jail, pay a fine and thats it!! How sad for the family of the his friend, I wish him well and a recovery!

69. Yep a 17 year old TEENager has no business behind the wheel of a car with that much power. If you are under 18 years of age you should be required to have at least 120 hours of driving lessons given by a driving school before they allow you on the streets.

71. The real problem is the WORTHLESS system America has . Lindsey Lohan has 2 DUI -cocaine and no time in jail .
If Lindsey was an average person she would rot in jail. If Nick was an average person charges would have come his way.

America is a lie and not worth supporting .

72. Negativity never helped anyone - there appears to be too much of it going around on this board. Myself, like many others around the world watch the "Hogan Knows Best" show and that's really the only reason we have any knowledge of their family. Don't mistake that just because you've watched the show that you really know anything about them. It's also easy to be an arm-chair quarter back and hindsight is always 20-20.

No one individual is above the law and if there's criminal negligence involved, it's not the publics role to determine that, it's for law enforcement and the judicial system we have in place. If there's a criminal or civil case as result of this tragedy, then the courts will make the decision(s) – and remember, courts hand down “decisions” not “justice”. Regardless of what plays out on this board or in the media, no one is exempt from the laws of Karma.

The bottom line is that this is a tragedy. I feel sadly for everyone involved, the Hogan’s and the Graziano’s, and choose to focus my energy towards a positive outcome for all involved. My guess is the Hogan’s and the Graziano’s would appreciate the positive thoughts much more than the negative ones.

73. Teenagers do what they think they can get away with . Nick knows that in Florida money talks .

I blame him for driving reckless but blame the corrupt Florida gvmt for tolerating this from all its well to do .

DA's ,sheriffs here love "donations" for their "charity"

74. Sorry kiddies... the crash (I didn't say accident on purpose) is ONLY the driver's responsibility. He has the steering wheel and the off switch to the engine. Regardless of what any passenger says or does, the driver and the driver alone is responsible for the safety of all passengers. This is what you agree to when you get behind the wheel. Period. If the driver was too immature to accept this responsibility he had no business behind the wheel.

75. I can not understand how people can be so selfish and stupid while behind the wheel.

I have been in a car when the driver decided to go crazy, going as fast as he could and would not let off the gas until he got a reaction from his girlfriend and unfortunately lost control of the car before that happened.

I will never forget the horrible feeling of fear while trapped in this persons car and totally at this persons mercy, unable to do or say anyghing for this person to stop.

When the car stopped spinning across all 4 lanes, I got off the floor and got out of his car in the middle of the freeway and walked home. I could not believe he didn't hurt anyone, I thought we were going to die.

I was foutunate enough to walk away, I only pray this nice young man will make it through his nightmare experiance.
