Lets Get This Party Started
Britney - I'm Gonna Shock the World, Y'all!

Is she or ain't she? The much-rumored "surprise" comeback performance Britney Spears is aiming to make at next week's MTV "Video Music Awards" will be "shocking" -- but won't involve Justin Timberlake. Ding dang!

Us reports that Brit-Brit presented her opening act to MTV honchos this past Monday, and that she's "planning it to be a big comeback performance," and that her goal is to make it "shocking." (Unlike her wardrobe, parenting and coiffure choices.)

Amusingly enough, one idea that got the nix was a performance of "My Prerogative" within a medley of her old hits, while images of JT and the Fed-Ex showed on a screen behind her.

Oprah and Dave Make Nice Yet Again

Now what's the fun of this? Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman will continue their (zzzz) reconciliation this fall when Dave appears on O's big season-opening shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Letterman and Oprah were involved in a decade-long snit which came to an end in 2005, when Winfrey appeared on Dave's show. Their lovefest continued when they did a Super Bowl spot together. And now the circle is complete, particularly so because Letterman appears so infrequently on other people's shows. Now if only Oprah would invite Hanson -- who we're told were the most difficult guests ever on the show -- back for an encore.

Bridget to Baby Daddy Brady – Stay Clear

Bridget Moynahan might be glowing with happiness after giving birth to her baby boy, but it hasn't exactly warmed her heart to ex-boyfriend Tom Brady.

Gatecrasher reports that while Bridget allowed Brady to see the baby they conceived together, Tom "was only allowed to come after the baby was born. The woman would not see him, period." Bridget also didn't give the baby Brady's name. But if Tom thinks there's going to be any reconciliation -- or that he'll be able to see the boy whenever he wants -- "Bridget is not giving him any slack on this at all."

Party Favors: Faith Hill – the Hank Williams, Jr. of Sunday Night ... Now It's Beckham's Knee

Faith Hill is going to sing the opening theme for NBC's "Sunday Night Football," reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as NBC tries to emulate ABC's "Monday Night Football" in every conceivable way. The new tune, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" is a rejiggered version of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You." ... David Beckham injured his knee in the 30th minute of the L.A. Galaxy's game with Pachuca of Mexico, adding a sprain to his gimpy ankle.

61. I work for a law office and I happen to know, unless Bridgette can say with proof, he is unfit or has harmed the child, he as the law on his side . Women DO NOT have the right to be in the way of the childs father.

If this is true what TMZ reports (I doubt it) then she is in for a rude awakening.

63. I'm from New England and it's such a shame that this situation has people making assumptions and that it is tarnishing Tom's reputation, which has been wonderful.

Until this issue came up, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who could fault Tom Brady for how he has handled his personal life and professional life. He is a very handsome, successful star and yet he dated Bridget exclusively for three years with no hint of scandal. He could have been running around dating every hot starlet in sight, but he doesn't conduct his life that way.

He could be plastered all over in endorsements and be making probably the most of any athlete in endorsement money, but he puts the his team and the game first and doesn't want anything to overshadow that. How many commercials have you seen with him in them compared to other sports stars of his caliber?

The baby was just born and I think it's shameful for there to be talk of him being such a horrible father already.

Bridge became pregnant at a time when they were on shaky ground. She had not become pregnant in the previous three years they were together. The past is the past and you can't change it. What you can do is provide the most love and support, and the least animosity, so your child feels loved and supported by both parents. Both Tom and Bridget need to be sure that happens. That is what is important.

64. What I find shocking in bad taste and repulsive is AOL's mean spirited derisive and ongoing attack on this young woman's every move .... LAY OFF!

66. Whether her "comeback" is successful or not, at least she has a career to "comeback" from. I doubt anyone posting on this site was a multimillionare before they were 21 years old like Britney. She is only 25 now, the age most kids are finishing their Post College Education, let alone having an established career. Call lher all the names you want, but you will never get to her level of fame, good or bad, that everyone in the world knows your name. Continue on with your hate bashing, it shows exactly what level of education you have. Most people who are successful themselves don't feel it necessary to use the words, skank, loser, etc to express an opinion. Constantly bashing people when they are down, shows your own level of unhappiness and insecurity.

67. #70 You said, "She is only 25 now, the age most kids are finishing their Post College Education".

Exactly, an education. Something that this "artist" lacks, in the extreme. And, now, what does she have as a back up to her "wonderful" career? Nothing - 'cause it sure isn't talent.

68. You know what probably happened, as it often does, is that during the relationship things were planned out, precautions taken. no precautions as relationship was breaking up because they were not planning on going there, then in a tender moment they did. Thus comes the baby.

What did you think he should be in the delivery room? Hell no. A mother giving birth needs only supportive well relationships around her in that moment. And why, when he and this tramp are not married, should she allow the girlfreind access to her newborn baby? She was good enough to let Brady see his son. Now arrangements will have to be made. GF has no right to a relationship with the baby as it is unlikely that the GF will be around to raise the baby. I think Bridget has behaved very well, even allowing the dad as much as she has up to now. They are all, mom, dad and baby boy in a tough situation.

71. It's pretty obvious that Bridget really cared about Tom. It's also pretty obvious that he didn't much care about her. This situation is so sad.

Good"

They went out together for three years. She got pregnant around the same time they broke up. He had no way of knowing she was pregnant then. How is going out with someone for three years showing you don't care about them?

I might also ask, how did Bridget obviously care about Tom so much when, after not becoming pregnant for three years, she managed to become pregnant when they were breaking up?

Posted at 12:25PM on Aug 30th 2007 by So silly

73. Tom SHOULD have done right by Brigitte. You just don't go about cavorting with another woman immediately AFTER breaking up a long term relationship - looks suspiciously like the hook-up occurred DURING the LONGTERM EXCLUSIVE (or so she thought) relationship. He treated her LIKE DIRT - why is she expected to behave LIKE A SAINT??? She's is CERTAINLY NOT BEING PETTY - he was and still is AN A$$!!

74. Bridget cannot stop Tom from seeing Tom from seeing his child. Only a court can stop him. If Tom is paying support for his child, he has as much a right to the child as she does. While she will be the primary custodial parent, he is also a parent to that child, with as many rights as she has. He will have joint decision making rights. Bridget cannot stop him. I imagine these reports are being exaggerated. I imagine it is hurtful that he has moved on - and with a VS supermodel at that. While she was getting bigger and bigger with their child, he was with a woman who makes money flaunting her body. It has to hurt. But that is his peroggative. They both have a right to their own life. Good luck to them both! And especially to what is that precious little boy they brough into the world!

75. To #18 Shopping3, You are a MORON. The baby was born 8 days ago so how the hell do you know whether he has paid any child support? Stop worrying idiot, it will surely be taken care of.
To #64, you may work in a law office, but law has little to do with this situation in many cases. First, until there is a court order, any parent can abscond with a child and there is nothing the other parent can do. If your wife goes into a friend's house with the baby, you can't break the door down to assert your rights. I have been in this exact situation. I had to file for divorce so I could get in front of a court, then actually get to court (would have taken 8 months but she hastened it by filing yet another restraining order that got us into court early...3 filed, all dropped on her word only), then get the order before I could see my little girl again.
Of course many women manipulate the system and are downright evil with it. As I said, my ex filed for 3 restraining orders. Each was packed with lies, one to the point I has a prosecutor willing to file perjury charges. I was "THIS" close to doing it, but my ex started to act better, but more importantly, had she been convicted, as a foreign national (legal alien/green-card holder) she would have been deported forever after any sentence. I just could not do that to my daughter as much as I wanted to do it. My ex's actions cost me about $25,000 to defend and put me out of business after 9 years...Any wonder I come off as a bitter SOB in court?
This is why I hate Denise Richards, Bridget Moynahan, and even Whitney Houston. All these fathers want to just see their kids. I also think this is why Michael Lohan can't shut up. It is so damn painful to have your kids kept from you that you will do anything, and vent to anyone.
