76. I had a friend die in a car accident last year because he was a passenger of someone who was racing. In my heart I knew that he knew the driver had a need for speed and knowing my friend he probably encouraged him to go faster. Long story short, they hit a light pole and it ended up landing on my friend... the driver survived, but my friend's parents did not press charges. The driver lives in guilt. Nick is known for racing and I'm sure if this guy is a friend of the family then he knew that Nick loves to speed. I miss my friend dearly, but I knew he was partly to blame. He could have told him to slow down or not race the mustang he was racing... Nick's friend probably could have done the same. I think he knew they were going out to get the thrill of going fast in a fast car, if they wanted to cruise they would've gone in the escalade, if they went out to race then the supra was the right car. My prayers go out to that guy but I believe he is partly to blame. As for the Hogans... giving him a car that fast was probably not the smartest idea, but they did teach him the consequences of speeding and Nick is an adult... he knows right from wrong.

77. brooke hogan is thanking her fans on my space for SUPPORTING HER?????????? She actually said that? "Her fans"(if she has any!!) should be supporting the victim that is IN THE COMA!! What is wrong with them? Do they really believe it is all about them?? If this poor young man dies,do you really think that Nick is going to be punished?? Hell no!!!! This should be a wake up call to Lindsay Lohan,Paris,Nicole and Britney that yes you can and WILL hurt someone if you keep making BAD decisions. Why wasn't Nick's license taken away from him after his first or second racing ticket?? This i family s so ridiculous.A bunch of "NO TALENTS" prostituting their kids!!!! Go do something for charity and keep it to yourself we are sick of you!!!!!!!!!!!

79. I have to agree that it appears Nick is to blame for this accident. But I read in the Tampa tv report that they think a black Viper might have been involved. I guess we shall just have to wait for the final report.

Interesting, I also thought it was odd that the Hulk got to the scene so fast. I wonder if they sent a police car for him? But why wouldn't they pick up the whole family?

Also, the more I look at the driver's side view of the wreck, I cannot comprehend how Nick escaped with minor injuries....or death.

I don't doubt for a second that Terry and Linda love their kids. But they need to show it in a different way and not indulge them so much. After reading about Nick's track record and the fact that this isn't his first accident in a fast car.....why wasn't he on the ALERT list when he went to get his driver's license?

I just hope the Hulk doesn't buy Nick out of this mess. Nick needs to receive something more than a slap on the hand or a stint in driver's school. Hopefully Florida judges are not as lienient as those in California.

I was encouraged by the comments from John's girlfriend when she said he was coming out of it little by little. I hope it is true and not just her mind playing tricks on her.

We know he had a head injury, but what about other injuries? And what bumps and bruises did Nick have? I haven't read anything about them.

80. To Cindy in Texas: I think people express concern and support for a whole family when any tragedy occurs. When a member of the family has been in a situation such as Nick's, they are suppoprting them to have the strength to get through it. The tragedy of this accident mainly involves John and his family and girlfriend. But look at the people who showed up at the vigil. It affects them, too. And in odd ways it affects the fans of Hogan Knows Best. It is far reaching. Often inexplicable. But is the way with compassionate people.

THIS CASE IS ABOUT A YOUNG MAN WITHOUT ANY GUIDANCE WHO HAS BEEN ALLOWED BY HIS PARENT AND THE AUTHORITIES TO DRIVE RECKLESSLY TIME AND TIME AGAIN WITHOUT ANY LIMITATIONS OR PENALITIES. THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON AMONG CELEBRITIES OR THEIR CHILDREN. NICK WAS A MENACE. THE FACT THAT HE WAS NOT DRUGGING OR DRINKING DOES NOT EXCUSE HIS BEHAVIOR. MAKE NO MISTAKE I NEITHER LIKE OR DISLIKE NICK HOGAN; HOWEVER, HE IS GUILTY OF A CRIMINAL ACT THAT HE MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR. TO BLAME THE VICTIM FOR POOR JUDGMENT IN GETTING IN THE CAR FOR THE ACCIDENT IS RIDICULOUS. JOHN MAY HAVE KNOWN THAT NICK DROVE FAST, BUT I AM SURE THAT NICK AND HIS INSANE FATHER ASSURED JOHN THAT NICK WAS A GREAT DRIVER AND HE WOULD BE PERFECTLY SAFE. THERE IS A PICTURE OF NICK PEELING OUT OF A RESTUARANT WITH HIS MOTHER LAUGHING THE BACKGROUND SO THE PARENTS KNEW HE WAS RECKLESS IN A CAR. BY THE WAY, SHE IS NOT LAUGHING NOW. THE PUBLIC IS GOING TO HAVE TO KEEP A COOL HEAD AND START DEMANDING THAT THESE YOUNG CELEBRITIES RECEIVE JUSTICE. THAT WE START ASKING FOR THE REMOVAL OF JUDGES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT WHO CANNOT OR WILL NOT ENFORCE OUR LAWS. BECAUSE WHETHER WE LIKE OR NOT, THEY ARE THE ROLE MODELS FOR OUR CHILDREN.

83. Hey Nick is only human, accidents happen! Back off of the Hogans! They are a great family! Its not like any one of you haters have never been in an accident or even caused one! I think Brooke is very talented and gorgeous, some of you people are just haters. But then again, it is always the haters that think they have to sound off at the mouth. Go figure. 85. I feel bad for John, his family, Nick and the Hogan family. Nick was wrong for racing and Terry and Linda should not have allowed him to drive after the first speeding ticket, but that doesn't make them bad people. What happened did happen And I'm sure that Nick feels horrible about this and does realize that he should get punishedfor this. I just hope people will try to focus on John's recovery and stop focussing on blaming Nick, Hulk, and/or Linda. John and his family needs our prayers!

86. I Pray to God For John, and his family its such a tradgy but Nick has had so many warnings on his SPEED VIOLATIONS !!! I think daddie should be taking the keys away ,They should be thanking god because this little idiot put another life in his hands and this is want happens when you give your kids a viper and wannabee drag racers at 17 years old, I say my prayers to John he just got back from Iraq and nobody deserves this call. Speed Kills and Nick is such a idiot to even drive to put a life in danger, Nick is been doing this alot speeding around town acting out like a idiot , so sad for John coming back from Iraq for this Jerk to dragrace. Nick is in trouble i hope dadddie and mommie take the keys and the Law will do something ASAP, and how come he got out of the hospital so fast. and why was his father at the seen so soon, come on i think there is some fixing in the HULK family. I have not liked the Hogan family since watching many seasons of Hogan Knows Best because they think just because of their last name being famous that they have everything and everyone bowing down to them. Celeb kids need to get in their minds that their parents might be famous but they need to earn their fame as well.

90. My heart goes out to both families in this tragic time. Although this entire incodent could of been avoided! Nick should NEVER of have that powerful of a car given his track record of speeding. I am a drag racer, and the ONLY place for true drag racing is on the track NOT THE STREET! If infact he was drag racing jail time is severly needed! Also, just because who he is he got away with doing 82 in a 45! Are you kidding me? Anyone else would of been in jail with no license! Celebrities need to be punished the same way! Dont get me wrong I feel for Nick, not knowing what is going to be the outcome of his friends condition, not knowing what his future is going to hold. The poor kid, but celebrity kids are sometimes worse than celebrities! They get away with alot, and I think that maybe they shouldnt have EVERYTHING they want. Life is about learning lessons, unfortunantly Nick has to learn a very big one. Just stop and think before you do something so stupid! Going fast is fun, when you know what you are doing. Anyone that thinks drag racing is not cool unless you do it on the street illegally, is a huge moron! At the track there is alot more strategy and more competition. Not to mention for those of you that cant handle a car, a rescue team on the scene to save your life so you dont end up dead! Thoughts and prayrs are with the families!
