Former "Bachelor" Andy Baldwin strapped on some spandex to compete in an ultimate test of endurance: the Kentucky Ironman. That's one hot triathlete! The Navy Lieutenant was one of 1,800 competitors who attacked the grueling, three-part endurance race -- consisting of a 2.4-mile swim in the Ohio River, a 112-mile bike course through greater Louisville and a 26.2-mile run to the finish line celebration at Fourth Street Live.
Andy carried his "Bachelor" prize, Tessa Horst, across the finish line, completing the race in a respectable 10 hours and 2 minutes -- about an hour and a half behind the winner.
Although Andy and Tessa have called off their engagement, they remain together and are "very much in love."
19. oh, for GOD'S sake... look at her body language. those eyes silently pleading "get me the f@#* away from this nerd. and get a load of his lips that won't pucker. ugh. that guy is a total gouter.
20. Baldwin said his goal was to meet someone to love and get married and have a family..He presented a pathetic, lonely person just wanting someone to love and spend the rest of his life with..and supposedely he found her on The Bachelor..
Engagement off???? Perhaps what he should have said was the wanted someone to sleep with him, satisfy his sexual needs..sounds like he belongs to the club of "WHY BUY THE COW, IF YOU CAN GET THE MILK FREE??
It is good they called off the engagement if they are not sure of marriage..I surely hope they are not living together..She would be a fool, basically "a cow."
21. From what I hear most of these so-called "bachelors" are really gay. When will people realize that there is absolutely nothing real about reality television? These shows are as tightly scripted as your favorite sit-com...
24. he's gayer than a handbag full of rainbows.....

25. I think these two are a real and very loving couple. It's great that they decided to take things slow, and not stay engaged. I do hope however that they end up married, as they seem so great together. I love a good ending to a romantic story what can I say?
28. As a dedicated volunteer fundraiser, I admire the ability Andy has achieved to promote charitable opportunities. "Great Going Andy" - and all the best for a happy life! Pat
29. I really was a fan of Andy at first. After all these months, I have decided that everything that Andy does is for self-promotion. He is setting himself up for politics with all his good deeds: he thinks he is the poster boy of the Navy, he does all these triathlons, he sets up all these charities and puts his name on them--The Andy Baldwin Fund for -------, he volunteers for low income clinics. BUT he takes credit for all the group efforts; he isn't paying a dime for all his expenses related to the triathlons; he is given credit in Navy time for activities like Laos and the low income clinics; and he is in the Navy not out of strong military support but as a requirement for them paying for his education. He twists all his activities as Andy Baldwin giving of his time and money--but really it is us tax payers who are supporting all his charities. He will hold onto Tessa as long as he can--he knows she is from a family of money--and even though she may not realize it, he knew which of the contestant's families had money and which did not. Why else do you think he chose the gal who dad was an attorney and step-dad was Bruce Bartels and mom was daughter of richest man in Hong Kong over the gal whose Dad was just a dentist. Amber never had a chance--she came from a dysfunctional family and had to pretty much raise her siblings because her parents had so many personal problems. Andy is just a social climber who parades around shirtless so everyone is impressed with his muscles and is trying to see if his future will be in medicine with Tessa's family, or in acting or modeling or in politics. He doesn't raise much money for charities with his athletic endeavors but boy does he enjoy the public attention. He has sold his soul for all the attention--and weighing whether his life would be more complete if he got married to Tessa now or whether he came out of the closet and lived with Gatsby. Which will be more acceptable to the American public?

30. for the people who said that if they were in love they could've stay engaged----YOU ARE THE PROBLEM WITH THIS WORLD. what's the rush? an engagement isn't supposed to be long, it is for the sole purpose of planning the wedding. why cant they just date and be together? They're a lot more intelligent and respectable than you losers.
