571. Harvey gave a wonderful interview the best I have seen so far. He asked all the right questions. He may not have got the answers, but he asked. The World Will Remember That There Is No "Allege" Video Tape, And He Never Had An "Alleged" Sexual Incident With Stern. It is on tape now right out of Larry's mouth. Larry calls Rita a liar and her souces says it is defamatory. According to Larry Rita is a LIAR. I have one question if the "alleged" tape does appear what does that make Larry and who has he defamed? Just wondering. I like to look about both sides postions not just one. IMO

572. This is just too fantastic. Then again, rumors are often true. This is not the first time Larry's sexual preference has been called into question. And, I can say ... hell if it was me and false allegations were known in andvance of a books debut .... I'd be in front of a judge so fast asking for a temporary restraining order to prevent its release so damn fast your head would spin. And I don't already have an attorney ....

The Goldman's stopped OJ's book! We saw it happen and rightly so.

What's taking so long? Where are papers actually filed as opposed to threatening suits?
I do have a degree in journalism (don't practice it) but they teach you about slander and libel.
You don't get a degree and work for a reputable news organization without understanding the seriousness of the kinds of allegations being made. Never mind Rita, the publisher must understand the risk as well.

IMO, if no legal action has been taken against Rita yet ... none will be. It's not like Howie doesn't know how to file! Howard seriously needs to be investigated ... blackmail? Is that Do you think he's capable after seeing the clown video?

Is this why OK turned their back on Larry? Larry's sudden friendship with Howard is just unnatural plain and simple.

It is a sad state of affairs when the US is supposed to be the defender of justice, while Bahama's known for third world corruption, holds all the cards to carry justice out in this case for the whole world to see. Would be quite ironic.

I supported Larry for a while, but his association with Howard disgusts me and defies normal human nature. Something stinks and it looks like Rita called it, otherwise real legal papers would have been filed by now.

573. The author of the book on Anna has an Emmy Award, interviewed four US presidents and more than a dozen world leaders. She was the first on the scene of many international headline stories. I don't think she is desperate by any means, and I think her writing the book was based on her belief in exposing the truth and in justice. I see no point in insulting someone of Mrs. Cosby's talent. She was even honored by a meeting with the Pope. Compared to Larry Birkhead and Howard Stern, Rita Cosby is
an angel and a seeker of truth, and look at what Birkhead and Stern are.

Get off Howard and Larry. Anna was a grown woman in America, not a tragic woman in a 3rd world country without recourse. She lived how she wanted to and You guys need your own life.

These are all sick people. It is such a pity poor Debra didn't disengage herself from this circus earlier. Larry B is everything Anna said he is! Conman, publicity seeker, celebrity wanna be. He disgusts me! Seeing him with Trope and Rale the same people he hired Debra to fight just confirms that he is an A H.

577. This isn't the first time that Larry has been accused of being gay or bisexual. One of the tabs had a guy come forward saying that they had an affair. The story was pretty detailed and he had pictures of he and Larry. This whole thing is unbelievable. When is Bobby Trendy going to jump back into the fray? :)

578. Obviously, a few truths have not crossed anyone's minds....

Larry is "nice" to Howard because he has to be. Howard is the executor of Anna Nicole Smith's will AND the trustee of Dannilynn's trust fund. Get it? He holds the purse strings. He'll be in Dannilynn's life until she's of legal age to receive her trust. Larry doesn't seem to have any means of income at the moment, outside of Entertainment Tonight and various magazines. Why bite the hand that'll probably be feeding you?

Yes, I've been creeped out by Howard in the past, the fact that Anna Nicole always looked drugged out of her mind during her ET interviews, etc. Watch the Playboy video, then the final ET interviews. That's one heck of a decline into drug use. I blame Howard as much as Anna Nicole. He can't stop her from taking drugs, but I think there's a bit of "supplying" going on. I can't speculate re: her death or Daniel's because I wasn't there. Something seems "hinky", but....it's not my job to investigate.

As for all of Anna Nicole's "friends" and her family... The Hatton woman seems totally unbelievable to me and always has. Virgie also seems like an attention-seeker. Just my opinion.

But back to my original conclusion, I think Larry and Howard's 'truce' or whatever you want to call it is perfectly understandable. Howard fought Larry because Dannilynn was the last link he had to Anna Nicole (who I personally think he was obsessed with). Once it was proven she was Larry's daughter, he found a way to stay in her life--as a friend of Larry's.

As for the supposed 'sex tape', it completely disgusts me that this 'credible journalist' Crosby woman blabs on about it when she hasn't even seen it. What's up with that? Geraldo Rivera's career was basically ruined when he tried to report REAL news live and up close (not that I agree with giving up our troops' positions "accidentally" or otherwise) and this woman still has a career? Shocking.

One of the oldest tricks in the book is to pander to the audience with a sex story by claiming you are only "covering" a matter of public interest. Rita Cosby, who is fast becoming known as the "Porn Queen" on MSNBC- TV, tried this out on her December 15 show. But she ran into a buzzsaw—an anti-porn activist by the name of Dr. Gail Dines, who saw through what Cosby was trying to do and blew the whistle.

Dines appeared on the show late in the program after Cosby had featured various "stars" from the pornography industry who "cash in on their good looks in search for instant fame, stardom, and of course, money." Talking to somebody named Harvey Kaplan about using the latest technology to download porn, Cosby gushed that it sounds like the business is "booming." Golly gee.

Appearing late in the program, Dr. Dines, a professor of sociology and women's studies, said, "I would like to talk about what's just passed for a news program has actually been a 50-minute promotion for the pornography industry. And I think in the media you have more responsibility..."

Responsibility? In the media? Yes, we agree with you, Professor. But this is MSNBC, which is becoming a porn channel, in so far as Rita Cosby's show is concerned. Cosby saw where the professor was going and tried to nip it in the bud. Cosby interrupted to claim that she was merely addressing pornography "from a business perspective" and "By no means are we promoting pornography. Let me just make that clear."

Oh sure. Cosby was conducting scholarly research into the porn industry by interviewing a "veteran porn actor" and porn directors, as if they are all players in a legitimate business and there was nothing immoral or sleazy about getting paid to have dangerous sex.

Dines shot back: "Yes, you are." She accused Cosby of using the first 50 minutes of the show to "promote pornography, in that you did not really get at what the industry's about, the reality of women's lives in the industry." Dines said Cosby was guilty of "shoddy reporting."

No, Professor, it wasn't shoddy reporting. It was deliberate deception. Cosby knows this approach is sleazy but she is determined to get an audience, no matter how low she has to sink. So she camouflages her interest in porn as an audience-getting device by insisting that she is simply doing a story about the business.

I plead guilty to falling for the ploy. But I am a media analyst and have to pay attention to these things. I also had to report that Dr. Dines fought back, exposing Cosby as the manipulator she is. Where is Cosby's concern for the women whose lives are ruined in the porn business? Does she have any integrity?

580. I just finished this quick read book of Ritas' and before you waste money, don't. Any of you who followed the deaths of Daniel and Anna could have written the book. There are no breaking news flashes, just a rehashed version of what we already knew. It was so easy to read, I read it in 1 1/2 hours.

The only thing I got new, was why Virgie was shoveling so much dirt on Annas casket. It seems at the last minute she tossed in a picture of her and Anna. She started shoveling so no one would take the picture out. Thats the reason for that scoop. It cost me 19.19 to learn that tidbit. Rita, should be ashamed of the piece of garbage she wrote.

There was no proof of a deal between Howard and Larry, probably because there is no proof to be had. What a joke

582. I just wonder what is in peoples' minds to side with the likes of Mark Hatten, Jackie Hatten, Deb Opri and now Rita Cosby.

Where is Rita's character? Despite her background as a journalist and the stories on which she has responsibly reported, this latest scandal warrants a whole new look at Rita.

It sure seems to me that Rita, once she linked arms with Debra Opri, has thrown caution and integrity to the wind. How dare she show up at Anna Nicole's funeral when she was fully aware that attendance was limited and by invitation. I suppose Deb Opri clued her in on the best way to crash a funeral.

Whatever the case may be, Rita no longer knows her place. She has turned into the greedy, money-seeking, non-ethical opportunist that she seeks to expose in her book, "Blonde Ambition."

Perhaps the best person to grace the cover of "Blonde Ambition" is none other than Ms. Cosby herself.

583. Let people make there own minds up about Blonde Ambition whether to buy it or not ...plenty of people from what I can gather from the internet booksellers appear to be buying the book ....its a bestseller..take a look for yourself

You cannot patronise people with your personal view on the book and expect eveyone else to accept your opinion as gospel without the other party reading it.....each to their own opinion

If people wish to buy this book with their own hard cash who are we to stop them

its all a matter of personal choice

I think personally Rita Cosby has courage and I commend her for that

585. As far as Larry Birkhead's college degree (or lack of one) goes, it goes to show that one needn't have a degree to be articulate and successful.

Even though I have never been a Larry fan - I have much more respect and compassion for Howard - Larry comes off highly intelligent and well spoken. It is amazing that he is able to speak so fluidly, without lots of gaps and pauses. And it can't be attributed to good editing at the t.v. networks because this is how he spoke on Larry King LIVE.

Larry should be offered a job as a talk show host. Not that either Larry or Howard will ever have to have a "real job" ever again....

JMO.
