TMZ has learned the "Today" show has pulled the plug on the Rita Cosby interview about her book in which she claims Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead had a "relationship."
The cancellation comes after "Today" received a bristling, threatening letter from attorney Lin Wood, Howard's lawyer. Wood, who represented John and Patsy Ramsey, made it clear he would sue the "Today" show for any falsehoods that spewed out of Rita's mouth. Birkhead has also vowed to sue Cosby and others who he claims are in on a plot to "smear" him.
As far as we know, Cosby's assertion of a relationship is rooted in the testimony of Jackie Hatten, a known wacko whose brother served prison time for stalking Anna Nicole.
Make no mistake about it -- this cancellation is a big, frickin' deal.
I have to applaud a News organization walking away from a story that is questionable. There job is to report fact, not half truths and self serving exagerations. It shows a much higher level of journalistic integrity than Cosby's selling of tabloid gossip.

The opportunities for future employment and other income-generating ventures could be put into jeopardy if the opinions of decision-makers are influenced by accusations in Ms Crosby's book. Mr. Birkhead's ability to properly provide for his daughter and keep her in her mother's house could be jeopardized. For these reasons alone, Larry should keep using his legal resources to stop the spread of these sensationalist accusations.
I read on Perez Hilton, the blog, someone says that the connection goes back to The Marshall estate and the money as far as HKS...weird and creepy if true....all on PerezHiltons site makes for Jackie Collins type story???

From what I've gathered through your postings, you readily accept the word of a former friend of Anna Nicole's who was no longer in Ms Smith's life at the time the model/spokesperson was involved with Mr. Birkhead, you're at least mildly homophobic and you don't mind drudging up old tales of a man's addiction to help strengthen your argument that Birkhead or Stern must have blackmailed NBC into cancelling Ms Crosby's appearance.
Do you wish to correct my impression or are you fine with my assessment?
I don't think that Rita is claiming to have the video in her possession, or even to have seen it with her own two eyes. I think that Jackie is her source for the "witness" to them with their pants down, and a nanny ALSO saw Anna watching the video in question. The nanny claims to have seen her many times watching it and laughing at it. I think the consensus in general is not that if Larry is gay then he is a bad person. The way I feel and think that many others feel, is that there is/was WAY more to this triangle than the public previously knew, and the whole adversarial/lover rivalry was a sham. How can it be that the drugs Anna took were all in Howard's name (except for the antibiotic and one or two others that were rx'd to Dr. E and Alex What'sNuts), and Howard claims to be so innocent of her addictions and access to drugs. Now, if he and Larry were much closer than they want it to be known, and supposedly Larry was ALSO giving Anna drugs, well it suddenly becomes much more shady and more of a collusion than just a simple black and white tragedy that Anna's son dies and then so does she. And now the baby is in the hands of someone potentially that much scarier and sinister and greedy. What is Dannielynn's future??? I, for one, am really afraid to guess. I really believed that Larry would take her away from all the flash bulbs, and that he was sincere in not being a sue-happy person, but look what just 6 months has shown us already. He's WAY too tight and close to Howard for me to believe there is NOT something they share and are hiding. WHAT all that stuff could be, maybe time will tell. Probably we'll never know the complete truth, but I don't think this all smells right.
I just blocked the TODAY SHOW off as of Today. i am disappointed in them big time, but the plus on this is it raises even greater demand for Rita's book. I hear demand on orders is jamming the bookstores that are carrying it.

LB put into employment jeopardy LMAO! LB has not worked since he was awarded his little cash cow! His daughter is his bread winner just like her mother was ! Why dont he go out and make a real living instead of him and STERN living off that poor baby!

I don't find the relationship between Howard & Larry all that strange. Look at what Howard has done to protect ANS's name and image, He is good at it, He has practice and knowledge of all of her financial interests no one else has (yet) and for that I find it a smart move to allow Howard in with caution. Larry has gotten tough through all of this anyone would have too! or crack up. I don't think he will let anyone mess with him again, Including Howard.
Larry never asked to be liked by anyone ever. Most people that do like him wanted justice for a underdog, Which he unquestionably was and that we got. This crap about Opri making him likable is just that, Her after thoughts to benefit herself. I'm sure to some of you those that like and hope the best for Larry are idiots who have no magic key to the secrets and hidden knowledge you do. Larry could not have known the shady corners Opri would crawl in to get what she wants. He is not a Hollywood agent used to the cut throat inner workings of the entertainment industry, He was a photographer!
Larry has a right and responsibility to Danni L to go after everything he can financially connected to ANS and I for one don't begrudge him any of it. Anna did not leave her daughter much and she left a lot of debt.
Larry loves that child and will use every cent to see that her needs are meet. Those needs are incredibly expensive because of who she is and the money she may or may not ever see makes her and Larry a target in many ways.
