O'Neal Calls Foul on Wife -- Files for Divorce!

ShaqLook out ladies (seriously, get out of his way), Big Shaq Diesel is going back on the market.

In divorce papers filed Tuesday in a Miami court, Shaquille O'Neal claimed his marriage to wife Shaunie has been "irretrievably broken," and accuses her of being shady with his cash.

The couple have four kids together, and each has a child from a previous relationship. They tied the knot in a ridiculously lavish Beverly Hills ceremony in 2002, and bought an $18.8 million estate on Miami Beach's exclusive Star Island – where Shaunie has been living by herself. That estate is up for sale ... for $32 million.

Shaq, who is currently in a contract with the Miami Heat worth a cool $100 mil, claims that his Hollywood is Splitsville -- click to launchwife has been "secretive about her assets," and he's asked the court to order a full investigation into every penny she came into during their union. He claims that Shaunie has "certain properties" purchased with the Daddy's cash that ended up "owned or titled ... in [her] name alone." He wants a full accounting of her real estate, safety deposit boxes, loans, trusts and insurance policies and jewelry.

The Big Aristotle also notes that he made Shaunie sign a pre-nup -- which he's asking the court to keep private. As for custody, the jet-setting basketballer requested that the kids live with Shaunie, and that he receive "liberal rights of visitation."

PETA Gives Whoopi a Whuppin'!

Whoopi GoldbergWhoopi is the new Rosie on "The View," in more ways than one! Day one, and she's already pissed off a whole lotta people, including animal rights group PETA. Goldberg defended Michael Vick by saying there are things that are "indicative to certain parts of our country," ... meaning the South.

PETA President Michelle Cho fired off an email to Whoopi that very politely said just how ignorant Whoopi's statement was. "I think a lot of people who live and work in the South -- as PETA does -- will not appreciate the "view" that cruelty to dogs is an accepted Southern pastime. Those who fight dogs do so in New York, Chicago, and even the Republic of Ireland, and what unites them is lawlessness and callousness, not whether they eat grits or Belgian waffles for breakfast." Cho went on to say that "animals are as vulnerable to abuse as children are, and they need your voice more than Vick does right now." Whoops!

The View -- click to launchUPDATE: On today's "View" Whoopi said she was "not condoning" Vick's actions. It sure sounded as though she was making excuses for them.

Brad Pitt: Aging is the Pits

Even the hottest movie stars sometimes feel old and decrepit. Take two-time Sexiest Man Alive honoree Brad Pitt, who admits in the October issue of Details that turning forty took a heavy toll on him. "One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body's not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart," he said. Yah, he's a wreck.
Brad Pitt
The beauty crisis didn't stop pretty Pitt from appearing half naked in 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where he met current flame/baby mama Angelina Jolie.

Pitt's Gals - click to launchAnd what about his tres internacional family? "They have the same dynamics I had growing up," Brad said of his three adopted children and one biological daughter, Shiloh. "It pleases me so much." So much, in fact, that he and Jolie are planning to expand their multi-ethnic brood, saying, "We're not done."

One thing that is way too done -- Brad's cyborg-looking face on the mag's cover. Who cares about aging, when you have Photoshop?!

Heiress Bitch Needs Lawyer

Leona and TroubleWhat do you do when you're a hot, blonde, rich little bitch and you've just inherited $12 million? First, you should hire a decent attorney, find a nice place to live ... and get down to the groomer for a decent nail clipping!

The late Leona Helmsley's dog, Trouble (lower left), is in a bit of trouble. It seems the pampered pup isn't wanted by Leona's brother, Alvin Rosenthal, and the bitch (Trouble) has had to make do -- living with a few servants in Leona's massive Connecticut mansion, reports The New York Post. Arf!

Sources say the canine socialite needs a Stars who look like their dogs - click to launchlawyer to ensure that Leona's wishes are carried out -- including her desire to have the pup eventually entombed alongside her and husband Harry Helmsley -- as NY laws forbid dog remains to be buried with humans. Oddly, New York law has no statute prohibiting burial with Leona (upper right).

17. You know I have read the comments about Narrow minded WHITE PEOPLE. Why is it when Blacks see no other way of making a case they use the race card? Thats a bunch of BS! It doesnt matter if you are Black, White, Asian, Purple, Green, or any other color for that matter, if you do something wrong own up to it! The days of Slavery are long gone....get over it!! There are just as many Black people in power than White people, so using the race card doesnt work! It funny that some Blacks see fit to call White peolpe racists when in fact there are a lot of Black racists. Think about it, do White people have these associations?

United Negro College Fund
BET
Acapulco Black Film Festival
Afro-American Hist. & Genealogical Soc. Inc
American Association of Blacks in Energy
Black Women's Network
Congress of National Black Churches
Blacks In Government
Harvard Black Law Students Association

And this is not even 1/5 of the amount of Black organizations!!

What if White people did this? Would we be racists then?

Gotcha huh!

18. I can't believe your making this a black/white thing! Whoopi made a comment that many feel was innapropriate if it was Rosie the same thing would have happen. Get a life Taylor. It's not all about color, and if whoopi is focusing on the "south" I have lived in the south for 20 years and don't believe in the comments shes passed. I suppose its ok to have rooster fight too. Animal cruelty is wrong, its been proven that one who participates in these sports at a young age is more violent and prone to committing a crime involving violence, such as rape and murder. So get a life stop defending losers.

19. PETA EDITED WHAT WHOPPI ACTUALLY SAID.
SHE SAID IF A PERSON IS BORN INTO A FAMILY WHERE DOGFIGHTING IS ACCEPTED, WE SHOULD TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION AS TO WHY SOMEONE WOULD ENGAGE IN IT.
SHE DID NOT SAY SHE APPROVED OF WHAT HE DID. SHE LOVES ANIMALS AND HAS LOTS OF THEM: HORSES, DOGS AND CATS OF HER OWN.
IT WOULD BE SO NICE IF THE PRESS WOULD QUOTE WHAT PEOPLE "ACTUALLY" SAY AND NOT TAKE OUT WHAT THEY WANT TO.

20. I am an animal lover and support much of what P.E.T.A. does and stands for. That said, I really wasn't offended by what Whoopie said. She didn't sound to be supporting Vick or dog fighting, just making an observation.

21. Dog fighting is not a cultural issue. It is a brutal, heartless, drug and crime-ridden "sport" conducted by people of many racial and cultural backgrounds and in many different parts of this country. Michael Vick isn't being "picked on" because he is African-American. He is a high-profile football player who got caught breaking federal law. He would be getting the same press regardless of what color his skin is. We shouldn't use race, tradition, or culture to condone cruelty, brutality, and injustice. If this were acceptable practice, we would still have slavery, child labor, and an absence of women's rights in this country.

22. Whoopi deserves a whoopin for several reasons. First, Michael Vick was raised in Virginia. I don't think there is a soul living in Virginia who believes they are living in the "DEEP, DEEP" south. Secondly, Dog Fighting is NOT some kind of Sport, is she confusing NASCAR now with dog fighting?? Dog Fighting is Animal Cruelty, and it's not too hard to tell who the freakin animals are. As far as being compassionate towards Vick, I disagree and instead feel compassion for Whoopi, who has obviously lost one too many dog fights herself!

23. I'm as much a white red neck as you can get but I think Whoopi is totally right about the cultural differences. Also, if we spent more time putting human crooks in jail for molesting and killing other humans instead of spending so much time trying to rip up a person for dog fighting we would be a better country. The main thing I find wrong with Vicks story is he, like all the rest of the high paid athletes, are paid far too much for what they do.

24. MADDUCK YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON ABOUT YOUR COMMENT TO TAYLOR.

Posted at 2:57PM on Sep 5th 2007 by carmen

25. I applaud Whoopie on her comments and yes I am white, she has a right to say what ever she wants and too bad if it offends Joy Behar just get over it and do the show. I can't believe it day one and the claws have to be manicured already. What I can't wait for is Little miss goodie two shoes and Whoopie come head to head on politics. Now that will be good television.

26. If it was a white person abusing animals would she condone his actions? I think not! She is just making excuses for her kind and it makes me sick! Abusing animals is not acceptable in any race or any part of our country!!

COWARDS ABUSE ANIMALS, CHILDREN & WOMEN AND IT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE IN OUR COUNTRY NO MATTER WHAT RACE!!!!!!!

27. Ok listen up... No offense to any black people out there now when you say that white people are a bunch of bullies you shouldn't be talking. I would like to know who is the real bully. Why is that you as a black person can use the "N" word on a person and be perfectly fine on it, or we get the same old excuse that we are working on trying to limit the use. But when one white person messes up and uses it is world war 3. Now you tell me who is the real enemy here? Most of you don't understand how hypocritacal you're being. And next time you want to get some one fired for using a bad word look at your race and tell me how many of you say it? Tell me how many black artists use those words. Tell me how many lame excuses are given to back up your race? Look at yourself and you tell me?

28. What PETA is trying to do is get attention. When did someone speaking what they feel become grounds for a lawsuit, duh. I live in the south and on 9/04 three pit bulls attacked a 62 year old man. Now are they going to charge the person that shot and killed one of them for animal cruelty, I think not. No, I do not believe in dog fights for profit or sport but a person has the right to think and say what they feel and I think the incident with Vick is bigger then Vick he just so happen to be the one with the most to lost so lets go after him. What about the others that were involved in this, OH Oh I forgot they are of no importance therefore you sweep what they have done under the rug and they were the ring leaders. And what about the dogs that law enforcement train to to attack Human beings. OH, there I go again forgotten that Human Live is of little value. Please PETA, stop ceasing on the moment to be in the spotlight. If PETA is going to sue Ms. Goldberg for her opinion they all meat eaters and suppliers should be sued, what is the difference the animals are being killed for profit.

29. Amen, Gary #27, WHY, WHY, WHY, do we pay athletes so much money?
Yet so many teachers who help to mould the minds of our children have to moonlight to make ends meet.
