He wants a full accounting of her real estate, safety deposit boxes, loans, trusts and insurance policies and jewelry.

The Big Aristotle also notes that he made Shaunie sign a pre-nup -- which he's asking the court to keep private. As for custody, the jet-setting basketballer requested that the kids live with Shaunie, and that he receive "liberal rights of visitation."

PETA Gives Whoopi a Whuppin'!

Whoopi GoldbergWhoopi is the new Rosie on "The View," in more ways than one! Day one, and she's already pissed off a whole lotta people, including animal rights group PETA. Goldberg defended Michael Vick by saying there are things that are "indicative to certain parts of our country," ... meaning the South.

PETA President Michelle Cho fired off an email to Whoopi that very politely said just how ignorant Whoopi's statement was. "I think a lot of people who live and work in the South -- as PETA does -- will not appreciate the "view" that cruelty to dogs is an accepted Southern pastime. Those who fight dogs do so in New York, Chicago, and even the Republic of Ireland, and what unites them is lawlessness and callousness, not whether they eat grits or Belgian waffles for breakfast." Cho went on to say that "animals are as vulnerable to abuse as children are, and they need your voice more than Vick does right now." Whoops!

The View -- click to launchUPDATE: On today's "View" Whoopi said she was "not condoning" Vick's actions. It sure sounded as though she was making excuses for them.

Brad Pitt: Aging is the Pits

Even the hottest movie stars sometimes feel old and decrepit. Take two-time Sexiest Man Alive honoree Brad Pitt, who admits in the October issue of Details that turning forty took a heavy toll on him. "One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body's not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart," he said. Yah, he's a wreck.

The beauty crisis didn't stop pretty Pitt from appearing half naked in 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where he met current flame/baby mama Angelina Jolie.

"It pleases me so much." So much, in fact, that he and Jolie are planning to expand their multi-ethnic brood, saying, "We're not done."

One thing that is way too done -- Brad's cyborg-looking face on the mag's cover. Who cares about aging, when you have Photoshop?!

31. can't anyone see that Vic just has no heart, experts say that people who abuse animals eventually will abuse people. So, we all should be happy he got caught with the dogs instead of a house full of tortured people. he's a sick person, maybe his punishment should be to face his acusers and see what the dogs would do to him!

32. I don't agree with torture of animals... What Whoppi said, must be true... Google, David Tant... Vick was just a dot, on the landscape of cruelty to animals. This has been going on longer, than Vick has been living... The people who support and run it are from the Majority Race... Tant was shown to be the #2 person in the nation... Want to bet who the #1, #3 etc person is? It won't be a minority person... Look how long David Tant did his Evil... What Vick did was horrific, and he should pay... Unless, they are going after the really big guys, and put all of them out of business... I don't see, any justice yet...

33. I have had animals all my life. Mostly dogs. I think dog fighting is a terrible sport. But people need to understand that it has a huge following. I am talking every race, gender and tax bracket. I have heard of people driving from NY to SC to enter their dogs in races. I think its terrible, but should someone lose their whole career over it? No. If a doctor was caught fighting his dogs would he lose his practice? No. If an actor was caught gambling on fights, would he never act again. No. Vick deserves to be punished for breaking the law. Not banned from the NFL. That is not fair.

34. yeah I guess killing dogs is pretty close to living in the south.

wow- are people really that dumb?

35. You know what, I live in the South, and I've never been invited to a dog fight. Whoopi's comment is insulting to all Southrons. Once again someone making it sound like people that live in the South are ignorant. Regardless of whether she condones what Vick did or not, her comment is an insult! Oh, and if Michael Vick were white....I WOULD STILL BE JUST AS PISSED OFF! And I would still be demanding that he receive the maximum punishment allowable by the law. Also, all you folks that continue to acuse animal rights activists of caring about animal's lives more than humans, you couldn't be more wrong! We care about ALL life...human and animal. What is so comical, is that you spout off how we don't care about child molestation or murderers....yet, what are you doing about those problems in our society? Anything? Get off your soap box and DO SOMTHING! You say you care so much about these wrongs against humanity, then get off your butt and doing something!!!!

39. The people at PETA need to get real lives. Ethical treatment of animals...HA!!! What a supreme waste of energy. How about we worry about animals once each and every HUMAN on the planet is being treated ethically...meaning paid a living wage, provided adequate healthcare that didn't bankrupt their entire family, able to purchase healthy food as cheaply and conveniently as fast food...and a LONG list of other things.

I like animals enough, but a dog is an animal. Pretty soon someone will want to criminalize butchering cows. I wish PETA and that crowd would SHUT UP ALREADY!!! Let me know if someone harms your pet...until then why don't you adopt a poor family and champion their cause.

40. I'm not a big fan of Whoopi but give her a break PETA.
In defense of what she said, my thoughts are this.
She wasn't condoning DOGFIGHTING.
I personally think it's awful and barbaric.
I believe what she was trying to say was.....Coming from where Micheal Vick comes from, it may be totally acceptable.
I'm from the south as well, all people from the south DO NOT fight dogs but I know there are people who do. Micheal Vick may have come from a part of the country or neighborhood where dog fighting wasn't frowned upon, Does that make it right? NO, but that's the reality of it! MIchael Vick may not have known any better, because it was acceptable growing up and unfortunately no one was there to tell him any different.

I think that's the only point Whoopi was trying to make. She wasn't saying it was right, she was only saying it could be the reason he still did it.

It saddens me that in this country, even today that everything is still black and white. If Whoopi would have tried to make sense of the same action but committed by a white person, this discussion would be non-existent. Whoopi was simply giving her view as a black woman trying to help America understand the culture that she just might know a little bit about.

She wasn't saying it was right PETA!!

41. The is an avid sport in the south of deer hunting. Its not illegal yet i don't see anyone jumping to defend defenseless deer yet pitbulls which can attack and kill are being portrayed as innocent victims. A man's life is on the line, his career is over, prison is in his future and working americans are going to have to foot the bill to put this man behind bars for 'dog-fighting'. What about kids killing kids, people here in the US living in poverty, american soldiers dying on a daily basis for an unsure cause. All this anger PETA has towards Vick needs to be directed towards more pressing issues. Im not CONDONING what was done but our priorities need to be re-evaluated.

42. I think you guys are being too hard on Whoopi. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and she was stating what her thoughts were. No i don't comdone what Mike Vick and those other jerks did at all. I love all animals and would never hurt one or see one hurt without trying to help. But in Whoopi's defense just let this all go.

Posted at 3:20PM on Sep 5th 2007 by Candi in Philly

43. I only saw part of what Whoopi said but I never got the impression she was playing the race card. It's a simple fact Blacks and Whites are from different cultures and therefore, don't always see things the same way. That doesn't mean one race is right and the other is wrong. However, it's important to understand what people are exposed to influences their values and beliefs when it comes to right and wrong. If you don't know where I'm from and you haven't walked in my shoes, don't pretend to understand who I am. What Michael Vicks did isn't about race but about the environment he grew up in and how it affected his opinion of whether dog fighting is okay or not. What he did was illegal and he deserves to pay for breaking the law. But, people need to understand to him what he did wasn't wrong because of where he's from and the environment he's been exposed to. It's that simple.

44. PETA giving Whoopi a whuppin...hmm, isn't this the all-time fantasy of racist whites, to be able to whip black people again with no consequences? Bring on the porches and the mint julep. Wasn't slavery enough for them? When will white people stop or better yet, when will the universe/karma stop power-crazed whites? They are out of control and have been since the beginning of time!

Posted at 3:16PM on Sep 5th 2007 by Ann

45. Gary, blacks need those organizations to protect them from the many institutions of racism that whites created and continue to proudly uphold. Don't you get it? My God, how blind can white people be?
