O'Neal Calls Foul on Wife -- Files for Divorce!

ShaqLook out ladies (seriously, get out of his way), Big Shaq Diesel is going back on the market.

In divorce papers filed Tuesday in a Miami court, Shaquille O'Neal claimed his marriage to wife Shaunie has been "irretrievably broken," and accuses her of being shady with his cash.

The couple have four kids together, and each has a child from a previous relationship. They tied the knot in a ridiculously lavish Beverly Hills ceremony in 2002, and bought an $18.8 million estate on Miami Beach's exclusive Star Island – where Shaunie has been living by herself. He wants a full accounting of her real estate, safety deposit boxes, loans, trusts and insurance policies and jewelry.

The Big Aristotle also notes that he made Shaunie sign a pre-nup -- which he's asking the court to keep private. As for custody, the jet-setting basketballer requested that the kids live with Shaunie, and that he receive "liberal rights of visitation."

PETA Gives Whoopi a Whuppin'!

Whoopi GoldbergWhoopi is the new Rosie on "The View," in more ways than one! Day one, and she's already pissed off a whole lotta people, including animal rights group PETA. Goldberg defended Michael Vick by saying there are things that are "indicative to certain parts of our country," ... meaning the South.

PETA President Michelle Cho fired off an email to Whoopi that very politely said just how ignorant Whoopi's statement was. "I think a lot of people who live and work in the South -- as PETA does -- will not appreciate the "view" that cruelty to dogs is an accepted Southern pastime. Those who fight dogs do so in New York, Chicago, and even the Republic of Ireland, and what unites them is lawlessness and callousness, not whether they eat grits or Belgian waffles for breakfast." Cho went on to say that "animals are as vulnerable to abuse as children are, and they need your voice more than Vick does right now." Whoops!

The View -- click to launchUPDATE: On today's "View" Whoopi said she was "not condoning" Vick's actions. It sure sounded as though she was making excuses for them.

Brad Pitt: Aging is the Pits

Even the hottest movie stars sometimes feel old and decrepit. Take two-time Sexiest Man Alive honoree Brad Pitt, who admits in the October issue of Details that turning forty took a heavy toll on him. "One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body's not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart," he said. Yah, he's a wreck.

The beauty crisis didn't stop pretty Pitt from appearing half naked in 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where he met current flame/baby mama Angelina Jolie.

Pitt's Gals - click to launchAnd what about his tres internacional family? "They have the same dynamics I had growing up," Brad said of his three adopted children and one biological daughter, Shiloh. "It pleases me so much." So much, in fact, that he and Jolie are planning to expand their multi-ethnic brood, saying, "We're not done."

One thing that is way too done -- Brad's cyborg-looking face on the mag's cover. Who cares about aging, when you have Photoshop?!

The late Leona Helmsley's dog, Trouble (lower left), is in a bit of trouble. It seems the pampered pup isn't wanted by Leona's brother, Alvin Rosenthal, and the bitch (Trouble) has had to make do -- living with a few servants in Leona's massive Connecticut mansion, reports The New York Post. Arf!

79. So, "Tired of It" what exactly are you doing to change what you think is wrong in our society? Anything? Or do you just spend your day whining and complaining about others? Others that are actually DOING SOMETHING! At least the people at PETA are actively trying to change what they think is wrong in our society. They are trying to make a difference...they stand up and speak out about what they beleive. They don't just sit around whining and complaining on a TMZ comment page. Or perhaps you think your comments on this page are really making a difference in our society?!

80. This is not a black/white issue, nor a northern/southern issue. Dog-fighting is against the law....Period! It is cruel and inhumane. There is no justification. Watch videos and see literature available through the Humane Society of the United States....you will be overwhelmed with sadness and pity for these poor animals. It's a disgrace! How they suffer and die! Pure torture! Inexcusable! Barbaric!

81. Whoopi should say whatever she wants. That's why it is called "The View," because their are different standpoints on topics. Its not called "The Everyone Think The Same." Besides, she didn't say everyone from the south fights dogs, she said it is more prevelent and thereby more excepted in the south. Wow. Can you imagine what people and conversations would be like if you were not ever able to say what was on your mind or say anything that might offend anyone at anytime? oh wait, watch tv or the news some time. And on another note, PETA needs to shut the hell up. They are the most hypocritical organization ever created. They use terrorist tactics to get their message across plain and simple. The majority of their "employees" are misinformed, don't know what is going on, or do not have the intellect to understand what is actually going on.
Let Whoopi talk, and if you don't like what she says, change the channel.

82. This comment is for Gary. You are right, there are a number of black organizations in America, and rightfully so. I would ask you to look up the definition of racism and then you would know why black people since we are currently referring to race and not ethnicity. I am also very excited to hear that there are as many blacks in power as white in your area of the country and your schools are fully integrated as wellas your neighborhoods right. And that blacks have the same high school and college graduation rates etc. Those organizations have nothing to do with Mike Vick, I would hope that prior to talking about them and using them as examples you would look at their histories and purpose. Also, there are a number of associations that are for certain ethnicities Italian, German, Polish and religions, etc. African-americans have mainly been grouped by race, because that is how things are in this country and I see you are not really trying to change them, but perpetuate ignorance and misunderstanding. That's all

83. #15 You expressed my "view" exactly! Blacks don't like being sterotyped. Well neither do we Southerners. I too will be glad when that show is cancelled.

84. Since when did race have anything to do with dog fighting!!!!!! Vick is a person who got caught doing somthing against the law. He will pay for his actions or lack of.....Relating everything to race is so old America .......We face to many more important issues today...

86. If the honorable Mr. Vick did`nt know he was doing something wrong and illegal, then why did he try to hide this activity ? Your answers should be humorous !

Posted at 4:07PM on Sep 5th 2007 by westwind

87. Gary, et all,

You name a lot of organizations regarding Black americans but you forget those organizations came because whites refused to acknowledge Black americans for a long time. Didn't want them in their country clubs, diners, organizations and homes, for that matter. Or have you chosen to conveniently forget and ignore WHITES ONLY signs, KKK crosses and daily lynchings of Black americans ... Gotcha hun?

I think what we tend to forget as humans is that we are all equally important to the overall existence of this world regardless of ethnicity ... and for those of you who use colors such as purple and green let me remind you there are no being that are purple or green. This society is based on the FREEDOM of speech and OPINION! Had you listened to Whoopi you might have heard exactly what she said which was NOT taking Vics side or condoning his actions. She was only making the observation that he MIGHT not have viewed his actions as wrong based on where he grew up. Now do I agree? Not necessarily ... I mean if that's the case Britney and Anna Nicole and Paris should be held accountable for being simple minded floozy knowing good and damn well they weren't raised in that type of environment but I digress.
All I'm saying is damn, people stop being so critical and live, love, laugh for a change ... we all make mistakes, have horrible thoughts and do things we wished we hadn't. What saves us is that no one is walking around clicking bulbs in our face 24/7 holding it out for the WORLD to analyze.

88. TAYLOR, THERE YOU GO AGAIN YOU RACIST FREAK. WHERE DO YOU GET OFF SAYING THAT WHOOPI WAS TRYING TO MAKE "WHITE PEOPLE" UNDERSTAND WHY VICK DID WHAT HE DID. DUDE, YOU NEED A SERIOUS WAKE UP CALL. A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE MIGHT HELP. THE WORLD NEEDS LESS PEOPLE LIKE YOU!

Posted at 3:55PM on Sep 5th 2007 by DOGLOVER

89. Michael Vick was wrong, and that's all to it. It's not a race thing, and I don't know why some people are going into it that way.As far as the use of the n word goes I totally disapprove of the use, but to educate some of you about the use of the word I was watching a program on the History Chanel and it mentioned how some African and Egyptian tribes used the word to express something beautiful. As for white people using the word it doesn't share the same meaning to a black person, because your ancestors used the word very negatively in slavery days...SO THAT'S WHY YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THIS WORD TODAY!!

Posted at 4:11PM on Sep 5th 2007 by intelligent minded

90. She gave her honest "view" point about Vicks and his dog case. Isn't that what the "View" is all about. I love your views Whoopie! You go girl!
