17. I was like her huge with my first one at 4 mths looked like i was 9mths then found out i was diabetic when pregant. Very common for women over 35. My second one was prepared and didn't gain more then 15lbs.

19. With my first child at age 36, I only gained 15 pounds. I didn't show until around 7 months. I didn't know I was pregnant until after 6 months. Don't ask.

21. Halle is diabetic, so that might explain why she's so big this early, like #14. She has Type 1 diabetes.

And #6 - the baby does have both a MOM and a DAD, he's just not MARRIED to the mom.

22. #5....please tell me how today's marriage means anything? Being married doesn't guarantee the father will stick around at all. Look at all the celebrities that were married when they had their kids and are now divorced.
Halle is a gorgeous woman and can take care of herself and the baby should anything happen and the Dad isn't in the picture.
I'm happy for her! Like so many other women out there, she's been let down a lot in the love department. I wish her great success and a healthy baby!

24. #21...I agree. Being married does not guarantee a healthy, loving home for a child. As long as the two parents are mature people with the financial and emotional ability to raise a child, they should be free to do so. Halle has tried the whole married thing (twice) and realized it doesn't work for her. So good for her.

25. SHE IS HUGE for 3 months pregnant.
Looks like she will be giving Selma Hayek a run for "biggest celebrity weight gain in pregnancy".
Even twins at 3 months don't make you that big.
Look at her legs too...must be such a relief to eat like a normal person now that she is pregnant, but she may regret it.
At least her nose job won't be affected by the pregnancy weight gain. She will still have a great face.
Hopefully the baby/s will have their Father's nose.

26. Halle,

Is a diabetic, and quite severe. She takes shots daily, maybe this is why she looks so big? Who cares? I wish her the best, and know she will make a great mom. Whew- I bet their child is going to be beautiful!

28. People here make some stupid comments. First of all; noone is the same. Every pregnant woman develops differently. The fact that she is a diabetic plays a big role in the baby possibly being bigger than usual. Get the facts first you morons.

29. heard on a talk show that fertility drugs were used

Halle being diabetic and the chance of twins etc. when using fertility drugs-the concern I have is for her health and the health of the babies since multiple births rarely go full term

when you look at Geena Davis (beautiful talented lady but definitely older than Halle) and Julia Roberts with their twins it gives hope that Halle too will be enjoying a healthy baby or babies-whichever the case meay be

I truely wish them well and know that the birth will bring new levels of happiness and love for them


she is a smart lady to make this a priority in her life at the age she is to guarantee a healthy pregnancy

and putting movies on the back burner for a while will not harm her career at all since she is still young and has genuine talent

30. I adore Halle and so happy for her being pregnant. Dont hate her because she is beautiful! So she was out for the day and someone took a photo and made money off of it. She is a strong woman and will be a terrific Mom. Her baby will be loved deeply and cared for properly. Really who cares if she is married to this guy or not. It's her life, how about letting her live it peacefully.
