Janeane Garofalo: I'm Soooo Last Century!

Actress/comedian Janeane Garofalo was so baffled to find photographers greeting her arrival in Los Angeles on Wednesday, she quipped, "I'm not a celebrity. I'm a moderately successful person." The truth about cats and dogs!

With her rocker pal Henry Rollins carrying suitcases in the background, the 42-year-old lamented to paps about the good ol' days, saying, "I was more famous in 1998." Just like James Van Der Beek, Monica Lewinsky and Hanson!

Poor Janeane, reality bites!

31. Ms. Garofalo is so unappealing and uninformed on so many levels, it's hard to believe that she is considered an "actress/comedian/social commentator." Please Janeane, just go away and take your leftist views and unfunny "comedy" routines with you.

32. Not only is SHE sooooo last centery, but so is her goofy politics! Poor thing was born too late -- she acts like it's 1968. Move On dot ORG pretty much sums it up for her: MOVE ON.

34. I'd pay per view to watch her and Henry kick your papparazzi's asses...

And you TMZ writers couldn't hold up your end of a conversation with either of them. Why don't you hollywood failures go back to your home towns and raise the IQs of both towns...

And you TMZ readers...

Read a book and BE somebody!

35. This isn't that bad. I've seen worse interviews.

As to whether Henry and her are a couple, if they are they'll probably end up killing each other as they are too much alike.

36. I have mixed feelings about her. I think she is talented and decent looking, but her films are some of the worst I've ever seen (and I have seen a lot) and she really indulges in pseudo-intellectual debate. She never goes into anything too deeply, even though I suspect she may want to but is just afraid of looking stupid.

Her recent behaviour on the recent Ratatouille press tour was deplorable, and her segments on Henry's show are terrible. So again, very mixed feelings.

37. #36, a lot of people other than Henry and Janeane read books, you know. People like Henry (not so much Janeaen) love to tell people about all the books he's read, but he especially never says anything really insightful about them, other than "he likes to read, and here's a list of all the books I've read". People like you automatically assume that whenever someone criticises a left wing celebrity, that they are illiterate George W. Bush supporters, and that is a simplistic, naive and WRONG assumption to make.

To quote a line from A Fish Called Wanda, "apes do read philosophy Otto, they just don't understand it."....

38. No attitude? Are we talking about the same person?

This moron is ALL ATTITUDE! She probably hired the paps herself.

Or, perhaps, they were there hoping to catch a glimpse of HR.

39. I LOVE this woman. She is so funny and indeed has talent. I wish we could see more of her stand up! Come back to us please! Her humor is different and refreshing.

She should give lessons to these other Hollywood chicks on how to be "on the down low"!

44. Janeane rocks.

And for you winos complaining about her political views: get used to it. There is a new world order in place, and there will be no space for "shoot and ask later".

45. the accompanying video clip with clown music and fast forwarding to ridicule a thoughtful, caring person is simply mean. It's regretful so much of our humor is embraced and emblazened through schadenfreude.
