Legendary Tenor Pavarotti Dead at 71

Epic opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, whose voice and style made him one of the most famed opera singers to have ever lived, has died, his manager told The Associated Press. He was 71.
Luciano Pavarotti
Pavarotti had been fighting a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His manager, Terri Robson, sent the AP an e-mail statement confirming that the singer died at his home in Modena, Italy, at 5:00 AM local time.

"The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness," the statement read.

136. TO: CHILLIN & LARRYBIRKHEAD... U ppl must have NO LIFE at all to post this crap.. How old are u? Freaking 13? I'm sure u 2 r so miserable in u'r everyday lives that u have NO FRIENDS.. Who gives a rip of this man's personal life. U didn't know him personally so why finger point and judge him. He added beauty by his voice to this world. Just by u'r posts it's easy to see u 2 are ignorant looser's that truly have no life and must be so lonely that u'd bash on a dead person that most in here have shown respect by their posts. Hell even TMZ didn't bash the man.

Get a life, no one wants to see u'r crappy hateful posts! .. FFS!

138. Wow. This is a HUGE loss and a shock for me. Last night I read on TV Guide Channel's ticker he had taken a turn for the worse. That shocked me after I heard good news. Then before I went to bed, the news broke.

My mother is in LOVE with this man. When I was young, I always could say his first name right but I could never say his last name right to save my life. (He was Luciano Pepperoni for me!! LOL) She has this old tape of him and she would watch it over and over and put it to the highest volume possible to I guess make herself feel she was in an opera house. After hearing he passed, I didn't have the heart to go and tell her what I heard. I figured she would hear it later.

Impress those angels Mr. Pavarotti!!! Show them what we all know and will truly miss! You the man!! :)

143. May You Rest In Peace!!! BRAVO!!!

I have seen pancreatic cancer up close and personal and it is the most awful of the cancers. So unimaginably Painful..............

Luciano Pavarotti was but a Man, a mere Man with all of the downfalls that we mere mortals have.

His music was Heavenly though...... I Love Opera and I especially Love listening and watching my Three Tenors CD. Magical!

Have any of you who don't know opera ever listened to Freddie Mercury's Opera "Barcelona"? Try it , you just may like it.

!!!!Thank You TMZ for not trivilizing this wonderful singer's passing!!!!!

For the few of you acting like asses, Grow Up!
