R.I.P.
Legendary Tenor Pavarotti Dead at 71

Epic opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, whose voice and style made him one of the most famed opera singers to have ever lived, has died, his manager told The Associated Press. He was 71.
Luciano Pavarotti
Pavarotti had been fighting a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His manager, Terri Robson, sent the AP an e-mail statement confirming that the singer died at his home in Modena, Italy, at 5:00 AM local time.

"The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterised his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness," the statement read.

76. Pavarotti's death saddens me, may he rest in peace. What saddens me even more is the fact that he leaves a 4 year old child. Why do old men marry young women and have children, only to leave an orphan. Very very sad indeed for that child who will not know her father.'

79. #68 = We are not here to judge the man - only God will be the ultimate Judge! We all have faults - no-one is perfect...not even YOU! Judge not lest ye be judged - your days are not over yet. Most of us on here are paying RESPECTS to this man's God-given talent - not his humaness. You have not lived his life, nor walked his path so you are no-one to judge! Try to be a little forgiving - it will come back to you..sooner or later. Anyhow, who wants a frog????

82. 74# This is about how he was like behind closed doors, this is about showing respect for an amazing man and talent on his day of death. If you can't find it in yourself to post something pleasant for just one day then don't bother posting anything at all.

83. So sad for his family. A tremendous loss with a wife and 4 daughters. The only good thing about this is that he is no longer suffering. Rest is peace, dear man. My sympathy/empathy goes to his family, as my own very young mother died this past February of cancer, as well. The only light at the end of terminal cancer, is that our beloved's suffering has come to an end. YOUR LIGHT WILL ALWAYS SHINE BRIGHTLY, Mr. Pavarotti, (and you too Mommy). Rest in Peace now.
