"American Idol" reject Bucky Covington got a real boost to his career -- as headliner at -- hold for it -- The Great Southeast Balloon Fest. The wha? TMZ was on scene when Bucky boy blasted his own brand of hot air and spastic dancing for what looks like an audience of dozens of adoring old folks in Anderson, South Carolina. Bucky "performed" before the hot dog eating contest, and just after the wing eating contest. At least he was out in front of other bands like ... Morris Day and the Time! Oh-wee-oh-wee-oh!
When your final 15 minutes of "Idol" fame tick down ... this is where you go. There's always the balloon ride.
123. Hey don't go knocking on Anderson, SC. It happens to be a wonderful place to live, and the Balloon Fest was a lot of fun. Maybe you should come and see us next year and check it out before you make assumtions that WE are small !!!!!!
125. I just want to say that i am from Anderson, SC and the concert was wonderful! the whole festival was a huge success and will be back next year! TMZ just needed something to put on here!

127. Don't understand people who think that their world is the only one that has any meaning. Shows a real lack as a person. Don't criticize a place unless you have been there. I've lived in eight major cities on both coasts and Anderson, SC is the place I've finally called home. The people and area are wonderful.
128. The writer is making fun of Bucky. Bucky has had a number one hit on Country Music. He's won No. 1 in Country Music and is very successful. Bucky will go on long after many of the idol winners. He's in his right genre of music and he not only is gorgeous, he's very personable. He knows how to keep his fans.
129. TMZ is retarted. I guess this was all they could come up with. Must be a slow weekend. I like Bucky and I like South Carolina. He is from that part of the US so why wouldn't he play there. Anyway that's a good way for him to get his music out, which is pretty good. I wish him the best of luck. He could be as weird as those other freaks TMZ usually reports on. Hopefully this is the worse thing on him that they will ever be able to come up with.
