Beyonce: "I'm Just Jealous That I Wasn't Born Latina"

BeyonceRing the alarm! Buttastic Beyonce -- who is up for "Female Artist of the Year" at the VMAs -- tells Latina Magazine, "I'm just jealous that I wasn't born Latina. I wish I had been because the culture is so beautiful." If Beyonce is going to attempt to voice an original thought, perhaps she should write it down and read it first!

Bey may have put her high-heeled foot in her mouth with this one! Somebody let this woman know that appreciating a culture is great, but actually wishing (and perhaps morphing) yourself into it is a little annoying. The sultry singer goes on to say, "
I noticed a big difference between speaking to all of the Latino stations and speaking to the pop stations or the other stations. With the Latino stations, there was so much love and everyone is so genuine." Is anyone listening out there? Hola?!

Where was Beyonce's mother, Ms. Tina, or even Jay-Z when this was going on?! From now on this girl needs a chaperone to monitor all statements! Her booty is legendary, but she shouldn't speak out of it.

16. Who in the world wants to be like Brittany?? Her white skin makes no better than the next pop tart out there. Beyonce is one short of a six pact BUT she isnt running around going back and forth into rehab, she doesnt have children by a loser like K-Fed and puts them in danger by driving around with them in her lap.

23. Well look at here.............. i guess the new trend is to want a new parents..... i think she should be graceful...... It's ashame that these kids role models aren't proud of their heritage! Sure glad Martin Luther king, Maya Angelou and Frederick Douglas appreciated there heritage.. But lets discuss why she is famous? If she didn't wear what she does or have a african american body she wouldn't be famous!!!! Our role models need to be people who trully accomplish things!!!!! Not teach children that there not good enough because they not Latina!!!!

26. You guys are just upset that she didn't say she wished she was born white.

Re: number 15's comment - why would ANYBODY wish they could be Britney Spears? I bet even Britney wishes she could be someone else.

As for some of Beyonce's comments, I'm a black girl, but I've got to say, the Latino's are the nicest people in the world. So, I agree with Beyonce on that. The men always hold doors open for you and are very respectful. A Latino will offer his seat to you on a bus, while the white and black guys look the other way. As a culture, I do agee with Bee there is a difference in how they treat you. It may not have been wise for her to put it out there publicly, but I agree with what she said.

27. I was listening to TMZ interview on WUAB, and there was a comment that "stars don't mind you saying things as long as your give them a fair shake" Unfortunately the article was not that kind to Beyonce. It appears the writer has only looked at the beautiful balck womans bootie, instead of hearing the kindness of the person's heart. Telling a person they are speaking with the bootie, is something the writer was actually doing themselves. Being a black woman, and seeing the Latino women. I think Beyonce had a great point of view. They are beautiful women, and they need to be acknowledge. To bad you didn't take the kindness of the message and deliver it. Haters, hate on.

28. YA'LL are so funny! Please, keep the fun going! As far as "poor in spirit" Beyonce, she is just Beyonce, what else? Uneducated, mediocre as "artist" and loaded/physically too! She is not to be blamed, only the suckers who pay for her lousy music.

30. Beyonce.is cool and so is her father. I remember a time when we were doing a fashion show while she was still fairly new in the business and sort of young. I couldn't get in close to get an autograph for my sister when I ran into her dad who brought me to the front of the table and had her personally sign it for me. I thought that it was a really nice thing to do. It's funny, back then her dad reminded me of Kramer's Lawyer in Seinfeld.
