50 or Kanye? Try Colbie!

The much-hyped album release battle between 50 Cent and Kanye West begins today, but the early clubhouse leader is an acoustic folk singer who got her break on MySpace. Take that, yo!

Colbie Caillat's debut album, "Coco," has been out since July, but as of this morning, it's still the top seller on iTunes, one spot ahead of Kanye West's "Graduation." 50 Cent's third album "CURTIS" is a distant ninth.

That's great for Colbie and all, but how many times has she been shot?

18. Never heard of the jennifer aniston look-alike. I'm for 50 cent. I like Kanye's music too, but he's such a whiney poor sport. He acts like a spoiled child. That is not attractive...at all.

19. I think Kanye West is WAY better. At least Kanye actually talks about something other than money, hoes, & clothes!! Who cares about money, cars, whatever-- speak of life, something real!! Money can't make you a man.

24. Picked up 50's CD, it is excellent! 50's music is so creative and danceable. I don't see how him and kanye should even be compared, besides Kanye's whining is becoming tiresome!

26. As of 3:30pm on 9/11, for some reason 50 Cent's album IS NOT AVAILABLE on iTUNES (Kanye's IS available), so to gauge their respective sales based on iTunes sales doesn't work.

If you search "50 Cent" under iTunes' "Power Search", the Curtis album isn't listed, and if you click directly through to 50 Cent from the iTunes main page, you get a PRE-ORDER button. That's a major album-release screw up.
