Lets Get This Party Started
Brit Can't Drink and Dance at Same Time

Britney Spears was allegedly sippin' margaritas rather than working to get her moves down while rehearsing her zombie "performance" this weekend, and her dancers were literally praying for salvation before their performance -- because they knew it was going to be a disaster.

Page Six -- and others -- report that Britney showed up to her Saturday rehearsal hours late, and she did it "with a frozen margarita in her hand." And when she actually did manage to practice, it was clear that she would bring the whole number down with her. "The dance number was spectacular -- without her," says a spy. "Britney ... refused to do anything. The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn't do them."

As for her widely-ridiculed wardrobe choice, the Post says that MTV had picked out a corset outfit, but Spears nixed it as "not sexy enough."

Party Favors: Tyra Brings Catwalk to Bus Station ... Dina Lohan Fires Back at Jodie Foster ... Anna Falchi Says Angie Has to Work Harder 'Cause She's So Hot

Who needs a chi-chi loft or a fancy tent when you can put on your fashion show in the middle of a grimy bus station? Not Tyra Banks, that's for sure. The talk princess and designer Tracy Reese hosted a fashion show in the middle of New York's Port Authority during rush hour yesterday ... and you can see the clash of commuters and catwalk next Tuesday, Sept. 18. ... Dina Lohan more or less spat back at Jodie Foster for calling her out as an absentee -- or worse, exploitative -- mom to 24Sizzler.com, telling Jodie, "Don't ridicule me publicly! She should know how the press twists the truth! Don't judge without facts!" ... Actress Anna Falchi tells CYInterview.com that she's worked with Cindy Crawford, and that she has to work harder because she's so beautiful.

76. I 've been in the entertaiment industry for years and I'm sorry to see Britney end up as she has. I hope she will still be alive at 35. The way she is spirling downhill she will be very lucky if she doesn't end up broke and dead!

77. "The dance number was spectacular -- without her,"

I thought the same exact thing when i was watching her performance. Something along the lines of "Those dancers were DAMN sexy"...they should have just moved britney backstage and had all those people dance to "sexy back" or something else.

78. Please, if Ashley Simpson can bounce back from her mess on on SNL, Britney will be fine.

79. Wow !!!
It's a fantastic world.
That girl became a star because millions of people recognized that she had a talent.
Right now, she has a lot of personal problems, the courage to try a come-back after years of absence and what happens when she lives only a bad day ?
Most of people, including the one from her profession (who knows how hard is that job and how much pain can cause criticizes like that) think that she is a shame, she has no talent and even that she has never had any singing skills.
When I see that mediatic lynching, several questions come to my mind :
Considering the large number of torturers, I can’t avoid to think that a lot of them used to be fans even great fans of her.
So, right now, after listening her songs that brought you comfort and joy so many times, what can you do to help the one who gave you that and who is now vulnerable ?
Are you going to follow the wave of cowards who prefer to destroy rather to build and who risk nothing by doing that ?
Or are you going to remember that what makes you a respectable human being is the ability to have compassion and give to others.
The biggest loser of all time is probably that poor guy who healed, gave everything to ease pain of suffering people and who received a great award for his job : They nailed him to a cross and let him agonize for three hours.
But something in my mind tells me that losers are not the one we think about.
“Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged.
And with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. “ Matthew 7
Considering Silverman case, she said : ”Some people say my humor focuses too much on stereotypes. It doesn't. It focuses on facts.”
Please Silverman, when you qualify Britney Spears’ kids of “beautiful mistakes” and destroy her reputation, tell me how would you call someone who attacks innocent persons, the most precious God’s gift to a woman, and especially when that person doesn’t have enough strength to fight back ?
If you are a believer, I advise you to quickly apologize else you will meet after your death someone who acts like you but in proportions you can’t imagine… and against you…

80. The majority of people going through a custody battle would be on their best behavior so that the ex can't throw things up in court....this was a really bad judgement call on her behalf. She really looks out of it. Maybe she was nervous, but she's been doing this for most of her life, so she should'nt be nervous. I don't know if this footage can be used against her in court...I would have worked my butt off and had the moves down to prove that I was working and in control. This was a very sad performance...and I mean sad. I felt bad for her. I'm not a fan, but to bomb this bad on live TV....very sad. And I don't know why she thinks dressing like a hooker is sexy. She's a pretty girl. I do think that she is going to end up like Anna Nicole & Elvis...she has too many "yes" men around her and she fires those that give an honest opinion.

81. Britney has made some poor choices of late. I really feel sorry for her. Fact is though, she has noone to blame but herself! Her VMA performance was lacklustre at best, she looked tired, worn and possibly under the influence of narcotics! I believe this latest maneuver is a publicity plot and I hope I'm wrong! Her children were also dragged through the mud by Sarah Silverman, whom is one of comedy's worse acts to ever set foot on a stage! I think Kid Rock should have punched Sarah Silverman in her face instead of Tommy Lee!

82. Am I the only person who thinks the woman is obviously and profoundly mentally ill - and that MTV producers appear to have made a conscious decision to use her highly visible instability as leverage to attract publicity for just another log rolling, back slapping, boring awards show? Well....it obviously worked.

I would like to take the high road and say I am an "innocent bystander." But we viewers, and readers and web browsers, who are measured for the purpose of calculating advertising revenue, are as culpable as the producers who decided to air the pitiful episode on Sunday night. Does anyone else see it this way? Just curious.

83. C'mon. She didn't look scared. She looked confused. She was functionally "tipsy". Drunk enough to know she was drunk and shouldn't be performing.

84. I wish she could be the good mother her children need.

85. Ha-ha! Suicide attempt/publicity stunt is just around the corner.

86. If this is talent!
In her defense though Rhianna's lipsinking was much worse. It was like watching a Japanese movie.
VMA's need to be checked for putting this crap on the air. I will not spend a minute watching that garbage ever again.

87. When did society become so mean and obsessed with other people's misfortune? Evidently, there are alot of people out there with empty, meaningless lives who take comfort in knowing that someone has more problems than they do in life. I would love to be as "fat" as Britney. How dare she expose her NORMAL figure to a celebrity audience on national tv.?
Please......her performance was far from perfect, but I don't not think it was as bad or on the same level of some of the other obviously intoxicated celebrity appearances that night. In general, the whole MTV Award Show was awful. Britney really shouldn't feel too bad about a less than perfect performance on an imperfect production.

88. Britney Spears was never a vocalist. Her voice has always been shrill and always heavily layered with studio enhancements. She should've known better that people expect a vampish dance routine because God knows there's no voice in there. Honestly, I thought she looked physically on the borderline of sexy (she should've kept the corset) but her drinking and head are so off balance, so was she. When she was prancing around in her fedora hat, there is one picture in particular that is rather disturbing because when you look into her eyes, you can tell something isn't right. Hope she gets 'her act' at home together before she takes to the stage again.

89. Haters...Britany was a little nervous, but stop hating. To think she can survive a looser ex-husband an unfaithful mother, and still work on a album while being in court with that loser federline, shows alot about who she is and how strong she is. Yes she was a little slow and nervous, but the song is catchy and will be a huge hit. Anything she touches turns to gold guaranteed look at her net worth. As for her body, and everyone saying she is fat please an eighteen year old without giving birth could not look that good, girls got some ass and men love ass. Noone can look that good after two children. Stop being so jealous of Britany. Oh and the comment about she should put some clothes on since when do americans want anyone to put clothes on Please...

90. A bunch of us watched the VMA's the other night in our dorm. Britney wasn't as bad as you dimwits who are bashing her say. We all wished we had her bod. We had never heard of Sara Silverman. She's the one who needs bashing. What a miserable, nasty, lowlife she is. She's in show business ??? She's a piece of trash.
