Kanye West has made it clear -- he don't want his MTV. Or does he?
Blaming the music channel for Britney Spears' public meltdown, West put the network on blast, saying, "They exploited her, they played me and I really don't mess with MTV." West was upset because he says he wanted to perform his new single, "Stronger," on the show's main stage, but was relegated to a "suite" performance by the network, even though Justin Timberlake, who also performed in a suite on Sunday's show, ended up "on the big stage" to close the broadcast. Hold up, hater!
A source connected to the awards show tells TMZ that Kanye was offered the main stage, but opted for the suite, claiming he wanted to "feel the excitement and energy" of a smaller venue, rather than people just sitting there at tables. In addition, Kanye's "Stronger" performance was pre-taped Friday night -- to give it a "night" look -- as the actual show went live Sunday night at 6:00 PM, while there was still daylight in Vegas. Our sources say Kanye "loved" his act and expressed that to the MTV execs who were all there. We ain't sayin' he's a golddigger...
For their part, MTV says it "has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship."

Oh Please!!! Boo Hoo Hoo Kanye! You couldn't believe that you didn't win?? WE COULD! You are just NOT that talented! Now Justin on the other hand has talent, class AND humility! He could teach you something about not using the race card as an excuse for your waning talent. People are tired of you! GO AWAY!!!
When I first heard that Kanye threw a fit over the VMA's, I too thought that he was just being a crybaby. I have since changed my mind. He and "50" were on BET & Park today...Kanye was amazing by the way and he explained why he was upset and it wasn't over not winning any awards at the VMA's Bottom line, he cares about his craft and takes this crap to heart. He admitted that it had always been a dream of his to open the VMA's. When they gave it to Brittney, he was upset as was Timbaland. He went on to say that he would not have been mad if acts such as Fall Out Boy or Justine Timberlake had been chosen. However, he could not understand them letting Brittney do it. He said that he told them that she was not ready.
He was also upset because he felt that he was "conned" by MTV into performing in one of the suites. MTV told him that the main stage was too small....too many tables...not big enough for a performance such as his. They told him that a suite was best for performers like him and Timberlake. When he got to the Palms and saw the main stage he was pissed. and asked if he could do his song there, but was told that he couldn't. What took him over the edge was when he saw Justin leaving his suite and he asked him where he was going and he said that he was going downstairs...to the main stage!!! MTV is just trying to do damage control now.
What I think happened is that MTV knew that Brit would pull in viewers so they let her open. Since Timbaland was the so called "maestro," you and I know damn well there was no way anyone other than Justin Timberlake and/or Timbaland were closing the VMA's. Hence...they all lied to Kanye. Good for him for skipping TRL today!!!
Don't get me wrong, I think he should have kept his comments to himself. On the other hand, he was clearly just hurt . Not many people would admit this. He's just passionate. He works hard, is a true artist, and unlike some others that I will not mention, actually takes his craft seriously.
As for the "give a black man a chance," comment, blacks say this to each other all of the time. It is not a comment on race per se. BTW, why are some of you calling Kanye a racist? Just because he points out the racist behavior of others does NOT make him a racist.

Kanye is right when he says Bush hates black people. Kanye is wrong when he says Kanye has talent. Its funny cuz he acts like he has a grudge on white people and white media, but white people are the only ones who like his wackass songs. He is mediocre and very unnatractive as well.
Anyone else but Britney should have opened. She is not a current entertainer... she's a has been, so there were probably several talented performers who were upset with MTV that they were not offered the prestigious opportunity. MTV is probably wishing that they would have thought twice about that as well. Kanye or Justin should have had that spot, but they made an agreement with MTV to be in a suite. Kanye should have thought about that when he made the agreement. He is known to be a complainer and whiner... he should listen to his own music, and believe it instead of complaining.
Why ya'll hating on Kanye? He's the best rapper out there and he is also an activist to make America a better place. MTV played him and he should sue their asses for racial discrimination. If it wadn't for Kanye, Bush wouldn't have improved the rescue response in New Orleans and his songs are inspirational. Stop hatin!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but I used to like Kanye a lot before I heard him speak. First he called malado women "mutts", then he made that ignorant comment about Bush, and now this. Why does he think we want to hear his opinions? He has money now because we wanted to hear him rap, not debate, and certainly not to hear him throw tissy fits. And if he tries to say he didn't win any awards because of his race, I will be very disappointed. What people coming to his defense need to think about is the BET awards NO White person has ever won one and like 3 years ago Justin timberlake was nominated for two and this year Robin Thincke was nominated for two both of them came out empty handed and Robin Thicke preformed so.... He should've thrown a fit too right " GIVE A WHITE MAN A CHANCE" come on... Kanye you just put us black people back 25 years.
