Matthew McConaughey -- Jerk in a Shirt

A female fan waited more than two hours to take a picture with chesty Matthew McConaughey last night -- and he rewarded her patience by quickly blowing her off! Sorry, lady ... he's not for you!

TMZ cameras caught the pony-tailed, toothpick-chewin' hunk leaving Nobu, where a lone fan politely asked for a photo with him. Matt told her, "Not right now," and hopped into his car.

Feeling the burn of the diss, the fan vented to TMZ, calling him a "jerk" and adding, "It wasn't cool, it would have taken two seconds to take a picture ... not even an autograph!"

76. The woman was not a model or anyone important. She was the only person asking for a pic too. Someone should take away his celeb status, that way he won't have to worry about ppl bothering him! She is an ordinary person who probably works a REAL job and he snuffed her. This "jerk" doesn't realize that she is just like millions of the regular people in this country. She was probably on vaction and had a chance to get a celeb's autograuph. Maybe she wanted to show her kids. This woman is America not you Matthew Maconwhateveryournameis!

77. I don't know...I can see both viewpoints. On the one hand, celebs ARE in the public eye, like it or not, and they do have to expect to give up a *certain* amount of privacy. I agree, he was pretty curt with the lady, and that was uncalled for--he DID give her the once-over and he had kind of a look of disgust on his face. He could have been a little more polite to her and said "You know, I'm sorry, but this is my personal night, I'm not working" or something along those lines. The guy is entitled to eat dinner/socialize/live a NORMAL LIFE without having to stop left and right for autographs and pictures. If he does it for one person, then how many others are going to want their turn, too, you know? He has to set a boundary somewhere.
I do think it's pretty friggin' weird to wait TWO HOURS outside a restaurant for a pic????? Gosh...celebrities are JUST PEOPLE. Fans like that confound me. And Matthew did seem irritated from the second he stepped out of the restaurant; he wasn't being friendly to the paparazzi, not sure why the lady thought he would be friendly to her.

78. There was nothing "JERKY" about this. He was soft spoken and polite. He is not required to pose for every fan with a camera who asks him. LOVE the people who think celebrities have NO rights what-so-ever. They OWE us! We made them who they are! Ridiculous. As if they are never, EVER allowed to go out in public without catering to every whim of every person they ever meet.

79. 46. Since I am a NP (Nurse Practitioner) I could be sued by YOU the general public if by chance I'm out having a private dinner some where and one of you dumbasses needs medical attention and I don't respond. I wonder how you would feel then if I'm letting your kid die on the floor because I was "out during my private time" and didn't want to be bothered with they likes of the public??? How would you feel then?

Yeah, that's what I thought!

I'm sorry, but I don't see the relevance here. If YOU fail to render aid, someone could die. I seriously doubt that overanxious fan is going to die just because she doesn't get a picture with Matthew. Get a perspective here, lady.

80. I'm from Zachary, La. A place where Matthew McConaugey has been seen often. I don't really care to see him. He is person just like me. What will I do with his autograph unless its on his checks. But I do think he should have taken 2 min. to take a pic. with this lady. That is a part of his job discription. If he didn't want people to oooh over him then maybe he should not of taken his first role. Matthew needs to keep this in mind.

81. Blabs - you'd have to go back to page 1 to understand it. There seems to be more than one conversation going on here. On page 1, Kate chose to compare an actor's lifestyle with her own as "a lawyer."

In a nutshell, Kate doesn't believe Matt should have to endure the public 24/7 any more than she should have to deal with her clients 24/7, and stated no one has to be on call 24/7 - So there are a couple nurses, doctors, etc. disproving Kate's statements.

82. And how many people wanted the same thing from the man before you? Get over yourself, take a picture with your neighbor!

83. How he looked her up and down showed what kind of man he is. He only cares about looks! He has admitted in interviews what a vain person he is. His career has been tanking and his last movies have been crap, he better watch out, new and younger stars are coming up and he will be replaced with a newer model eventually.

84. What the F? What on earth do you think gives you the right label anyone a JERK (!) for not taking a picture with some random stalker ? How would you like to have 350 Million potential photo takers around you, not being able to walk down the street without people approaching you ? It does not matter whether taking the picture takes "only a second" - if anybody wanted to just take a picture for a second, the "jerk" would be dead before having even "serviced" 10% of the people. If you spot a "celebrity", shut the f up and mind your own business. I dont care about the stalker, but TMZ should not take the stand for a sick person against some poor olde actor minding his own business.

87. Once a jerk, always a jerk!!! If he doesn't want to be recognized, STAY HOME!!!. I'm glad, I've never spent one dime on his movies.

88. Maybe we should remember that Today is September 11th, and we should remember the people who died and not the Britneys, Lindseys and the Paris and Nicoles.

89. Kind of stupid to wait 2 hours for anyone. *lol*

90. Judge Meyers:

Out of the 350 Million POTENTIAL photo takers, there was only one standing between him and his car. The other 349,999,999 potential photo takers weren't interested in Mr. McConaughwho!
