Matthew McConaughey -- Jerk in a Shirt

A female fan waited more than two hours to take a picture with chesty Matthew McConaughey last night -- and he rewarded her patience by quickly blowing her off! Sorry, lady ... he's not for you!

TMZ cameras caught the pony-tailed, toothpick-chewin' hunk leaving Nobu, where a lone fan politely asked for a photo with him. Matt told her, "Not right now," and hopped into his car.

Feeling the burn of the diss, the fan vented to TMZ, calling him a "jerk" and adding, "It wasn't cool, it would have taken two seconds to take a picture ... not even an autograph!"

106. Wow - are some of you bitter much?? Some of you say that you know him and he's a jerk. Whatever.. He isn't obligated to sign autographs. He isn't a minister, doctor, lawyer, nurse or a judge.. He is just an actor, people. Geez, if you don't like him, then don't watch his movies. Regardless if the woman were standing out there all day, 2 hours or 5 minutes, when she asked him for an autograph and he said 'not right now' that should have been the end of it. Sure he looked her up and down, so what?? At least he acknowledged her request. Just because a person spends $8-$12 on a movie ticket does not entitle you to have your requests granted.
Some of these comments are shocking in their vitrol towards MMC. It is like he personally offended you because he refused to take a picture?? WOW....

107. He wasn't doing anything but going out- he didn't ASK that woman to wait. She was an idiot to think that having her picture taken with him was so important. He isn't responsible for her life or how she chooses to waste time. He acts in movies. Big deal. She needs to get a life! He owes her nothing!

108. ok, one-would you have stopped to do a pic or an autograph if you were out to eat? Yes, celebrities get bothered all the time, and some people think that since they are celebrities that they owe us anything we ask of them, at any time, at any place...or else get out of the business...well, Real Life doesn't work that way...is a celebrity supposed to be in a fantastic mood every single time we see them? They can't be Human and be having a bad day like the rest of the Human Race does? Oh, since they are a Celebrity and WE put them where they are, they HAVE to be nice to EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US! NOT! At least he spoke to her, unlike some celebrities that ignore their fans totally!

Matthew is a Gentleman...he has been every time I've been around him....if he knew that he upset this fan so much, he would apologize to her, because that is the type of man he is...a True Southern Gentleman.

110. he does not have to take a picture with a fan! Why can't anyone understand this?!?!
ok, put yourself in his shoes.....are you willing to give up YOUR every waking moment to fans? No? Didn't think so, and no, we as fans should respect celebrities private life, that's right, I said PRIVATE life...they are entitled to one, whether they are celebrities or not..

111. Just because you are a celebrity doesn't mean your private life is gone...there are tons of celebrities out there that aren't being stalked...some even hand out business cards that say, yes, you've met me (heard that Steve Martin does that), or some even blow off fans and they are still famous (Neil Diamond comes to mind on that one), and why should a celebrity's private life be gone since they are famous? Who made up that Rule? there have been tons of pictures on the internet that show Matthew taking the time for fans and not one of them have been when he was out at a restaurant...I've heard many interviews with "stars' that say they don't want to be bothered while they are eating or coming to or from eating...he has even been nice to the paparazzi and even buying them lunch, so you can't see he isn't a nice guy...this is just one incident...

112. I met and had my picture taken w/ Matthew last summer - 7/7/06 to be exact - at the Malibu Country Mart (the same location as Nobu). I was also quoted in the US Magazine about him - 7/31/06, issue #598, pg. 60. Paparazzi swarmed after him & snapped several pictures. He didn't hesitate when I asked him for a picture. I actually just wanted one of him, but he stood by me to take it with me. I'm a 35 year old latin brunette...don't know if that helped, but I'm not at all photogenic. He was quoted as saying he is very particular about whom he wishes to have his picture taken with. I don't agree with that....a fan is a fan no matter what they look like. He was very nice & polite & even helped my daughter with the digital camera. We were both so nervous and giddy - we didn't realize the camera wasn't turned to the on position and I thought the battery was dead and I began to apologize for taking up his time. He said "hon, you've got to turn the camera on" and stuck his hand out and turned it on for us. He even grabbed the camera back after the photo was taken to make sure the picture turned out ok. He was with Lance Armstrong & they had just finished biking in Malibu. I'm very surprised that he turned the woman down who waited for a picture & autograph outside of Nobu for 2 hours. It's not the Matthew I met, conversed with for about 20 min., had a picture taken with, and the same guy I praised to the editors at US magazine. Maybe he wasn't pressed for time when I met him. He did seem like he was in a hurry outside of Nobu last night which makes me think if he wasn't, he would have at least signed an autograph. Or maybe this lady has been around him and has stalked him several times - maybe he's posed 10 other times with her...who knows. I think there is more to it than him just blowing her off. It's just not him.

113. He's certainly not obligated to pose for a photo, but you know what...it would have only taken a second or two and I bet it would have made that lady's day. Maybe he was having an off night, but the way he brushed her off...if that was me I would have been crushed! Not that I have any interest in trying to find 'celebrities' but still...I felt bad for her. It's weird how when a fan meets one of their favourite celebrities, it could be the best day of that person's life, but to the celebrity it's just a blip on their radar. I hate to say it but I bet if she was a young cute 20 something he would have stopped.

114. At first, when I watched the tape I thought he gave her that once over look. But he didn't,
he was looking to see who was talking to him and turned to look. Wouldn't you?

116. I always went to all his movies, I always liked him because he seemed so down to earth.
Not anymore, he was not sick he could have taken a picture, he had time to say good-bye to
his friends. But not his fans..........I really felt bad for that girl.

118. He's going out to dinner...it's HIS time, not hers.

If he's at a meet-the-fans event, then she would have a reasonable expectation to get a photo and/or an autograph.

But I have to say that I also fault the media...photogs, press...all of it.

120. He was out to dinner, he was not out for photographs or autographs! You waited two hours, you are a stalker! This man or any other actor/actress does not owe you a photograph/autograph! They are allowed their own personal time just as you or I. If this were a red carpet event or a movie opening, then stand for hours on end and wait for your moment, do not hang out and stalk someone and call them a jerk when you do not get your way. He does not owe you anything, you do not pay his mortgage. Can he not have a private dinner??? How would you like it if everytime you left your home, work, etc., that people stalked you and hounded you for a photo? He is allowed private time just as anyone else is. You are a jerk for trying to smear his name, I personally think he was very polite in rejecting you!
