Ty Pennington Sued Over ADHD

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" host Ty Pennington is being sued by a woman who claims that Ty took over her art gallery and fired her. Move that bust!

According to a lawsuit filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Melissa Ross claims she opened an art gallery in 2004 called The Jaxon House. Ross alleges that last July, Pennington and his wife/manager, Andrea Bock, approached her about developing a line of furniture to display in the gallery, while still exhibiting traditional art.

Ross alleges that she entered into an agreement with Pennington and Bock, but Pennington was left out of the paperwork for fear it would interfere with his Sears deal -- where Ty has a low-end furniture line. The company, known as Jaxon, launched a line of furniture called ADHD (Art Design Home Decor). Ironically enough, Pennington actually suffers from ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder). Go figure!

Shortly after the company was formed, Ross claims that Pennington muscled her out and that "only his designs were to be displayed" at the gallery. Ross is now asking the court for nearly $4,000,000 in damages -- that's a lot of end tables!

Pennington's rep tells TMZ, "Anyone with $320 can file a lawsuit -- even a nuisance suit like this one. This suit has no merit."

91. GOV. JAMES MCGREEVEY (D), NEW JERSEY was married and admitted being gay. Rock Hudson even was married once and he was gay. It's done all the time. Only Ty and his wife know for sure, oh, and any guys Ty might be with. LOL Regardless of his sexual preferences, I've only seen the show a few times, it looks like he does a lot of good for the general public.

92. TY Straight,,,LOL They all have beards. Like the baseball player married to the soccer player...LOL All the power to him if he is comfortable in a SHAM. As far as the allegations go,,They are most likely true. The poor gallery owner probably trusted them and did not read any fine print in the agreement sh entered into with them. As they say: There is a poor sucker born every minute.

94. And if you really do have an opinion, it doesn't have to be bcoherent or logicial, but to defend yoru position you need to join the military,.specifically the army, or perhaps the marines, and put your money where your mouth is.

95. I loved watching Extreme Makeover. The people and stories were incredible HOWEVER!! I got extremely wearly of his constant yelling at the camera and into the megaphone. It was at the point it ruined the show for me, I no longer watch. ADHA or not, the yelling was "extreme".

96. Gosh, I hoped that Ty Pennington was a nice guy. But you guys have to remember that "TY" is a person just like the rest of us that is stressed to the hilt with his career, his businesses, his show and everyone telling him what and how to do everything--give the guy a break and try to understand he may have been very tired, exhausted beyond exhaustion. I sure hope that was the problem. Their show is awesome and hopefully really helps others. I want this one (show) to really stay on the TV for the betterment of those who need it. MissyLindy.

98. This law suit sounds about like so many, just someone trying to get rich quick. I never even thought Ty was gay, even though had no idea if he was single or married, until this article So what if he were gay? I'm totally straight, and somehow can't imagine him being gay. I can understand so very well about being ADHD, as my oldest son has same problem, and he's pushing 40, and drives me nuts sometimes with his excess energy, and I want to tell him to lite somewhere, rather than running around, when I am his and his wife's home, with their two children, my grands. Don't judge this man like this article is doing. I think he's good man, and has a very good deal with Extreme Makeover-Home Edition, and with Sears too. But to think he pulled this with the woman suing him, I doubt that is the full story. She is prob trying to get rich off of a lawsuit.

99. I don't understand the public's facination with him....he's not good on camera cuz he's all over the place - jerky movements, he's difficult to watch - he makes me nervous from all his movements!

100. The key word is "wife/manager". It's not unusual for gay celebrities to marry their manager as a beard (Randy Travis did it, and his manager is old enough to be his grandma? ).....

102. I think that this woman is just out to ruin TY. I MYSELF have had a makeover by ABC. Ty is so not gay, his girl Drea is different, but also a great person. As for TY being rude, not a chance. He was always intentive to me and my family. Yes maybe fame has got him a little less humble then before, but he is still a great person. Matter of fact, HE has been known to make check up phone calls to other families that he has assisted. INCLUDING ME! Now tell me what celeb does that??? Leave him alone.

103. There is nothing remotely gay about Ty Pennington!! Just because he's a designer doesn't mean he's gay. I'm guessing you all think all male chefs are gay too?? The lawsuit sounds shady but who knows in this day and age.....

104. omg can people actually leave some nice comments for once. i mean yes, this is a bad thing and ty already had a drunk driving issue too. but he still does some good, and shut the heck up about his sexual preference, hes been dating this girl for awhile now and now they are married, so where have the rest of you been?!! for god dakes give a guy a break once in awhile.

Oh June, dear, they can't possibly help EVERY single deserving person who applies for the show - I've seen a couple of shows that were based in the Atlanta area - there are many many deserving folks out there all over the country!!! But of course there always has to be that element who will play the negatives over and over and over and ignore the positives!! You being one of them obviously!!
