19. People. People. Let's read the article before commenting, huh? It didn't say it was a minimum of 96 hours to be lessened to 10 minutes, or 40 minutes. It said...

"He is due back in court on September 17 and faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, per count. Since Kanan was convicted of DUI in 1998, a second DUI carries a minimum jail sentence of 96 hours."

Along with that, it doesn't matter if he starred in a soap opera or a top rated movie at the theater. DUI is DUI and it can still get someone killed or maimed for life.

21. If they want the glam life, if they want to be the people we adore, then don't we have a responsibility to define what we will tolerate?

Make it known to them that we will not support this kind of behavior.

Give them more jail time and more community service time.

Give them higher fines.

Take away their license. Take away their cars.

Sell their cars at auction and donate that money to the people who have been injured by drunk or distracted drivers, or give it to the loved ones who were left behind to deal with the pain and the expenses.

Make them responsible just like the rest of us. Make them more responsible because they are in a position to influence the people, especially the children. Make it known that we will not tolerate this kind of behavior from anyone.

Quit going to their movies, buying their music, and taking their photos. Get them out of the spotlight once and for all.

Its already happen #11,,"Lane Garrison" of "Prison Break" He gets drunk as a "skunk" with a bunch of minors then goes to get "MORE BOOZE" Gets into a car crash,killing some-ones child an injuring 2 others an "He`s" probably gettin out in about 90-day`s or "something" like that after this "Mental Evaluation" to see if he`s "Fit" for "Prison" or "Something" that the "normal" or "non-Celeb" would never get ! Its "pathetic" Hope he "GETS-IT" somehow,hope he "Suffer`s" all his life, "Hardship" maybe he can lose his "legs" in a "DUI" car accident I"NTO A TREE" by one of his "FRIENDS" He was frollick`n on the beach not to long before his "Trial" sic* "they were all "Smiles an all" like not a "BAD CARE IN THE WORLD" I`ll never forget that, made me "mad" as you can tell ! this country is go`n down the "TOILET" sic*

25. I'm with #14. I always thought he was hot, and a good actor too! But I'm so sick of these dumbass celebrities drinking and driving. They can afford a taxi....hell, they can afford a damn limo to pick them up if they wanted! There's no excuse for celebs to keep doing this.

29. To those of us that enjoy the soaps, we have long known about Kanan and his problems. You know what...who cares, he** my neighbor was busted for the same thing and he is a 50 year old man. No real news here. Every group has problems....

30. Sorry, no second offense here. After 10 years it is off your record. This one will be considered a first offense. His penalty from the DMV will be more severe because it is his second but with the Courts it will be considered his first. I know because I just went through it with my husband.
