Beyonce's Own Melrose Place -- For the Homeless

Singer/actress/designer Beyonce can now add one more title to her resume -- landlord!

While they may not be singing together, former Destiny's Child members Beyonce and Kelly Rowland have reunited -- to open an apartment building for at risk populations in Houston. Can you pay my bills?!

The Knowles-Rowland Temenos Place Apartments will be a 43 unit, single room occupancy housing facility for men and women who are taking steps to improve their lives, after traumatic events of both natural and personal disasters. Save a spot for Britney!

With all of the negative press a lot of other girls are generating, its good to see that these girls seem to have their heads on straight and are trying to make a difference in other peoples lives.

35. Wow! this is really cool, my hat is off to those women! I wish that TMZ would not have used the story of these two terrific ladies to make one of their endless unkind remarks about another performer. It is an uplifting story, and a mean swipe by TMZ has no place in such a great story.

This is what these stars SHOULD be doing with their money. Angelina Jolie....take a page from this handbook. Charity starts at home and there are more than PLENTY of adults and kids in the U.S. that could use a helping hand!

I am not even such a huge fan of either girl, but they now get more of my admiration.

37. What is wrong with TMZ.. you take a competely selfless act from two celebreties and use it as another opportunity to bash Britney... so sad.. this site is so quick to report anything that makes people look bad and can ruin careers but brushes over anything positive these same people do...

39. What a good news day; Clooney being kind to a homeless man, Beyonce and Kelly giving back. If more news days went like this more people might be inspired to do positive things with some of their free time. I'm not saying that watching trains wreck isn't fun in a guilty pleasure sort of way, but this is heart warming, and I think that's 1000x better. It's nice when news makes you feel good about people rather than better than them.

40. Wow--how truly wonderful to read about this. I do not follow the music of these ladies, nonetheless, what they are doing is setting a seller example and rekindles my faith in people.

And to the poster who had this to say--" JUST WHAT THOSE PEOPLE NEED....ANOTHER FREE HANDOUT.....MAKE THEM WORK FOR THEIR RENT.....IF YOU KEEP ON GIVING THEY WILL KEEP ON TAKING....."

44. I am so EXCITED to finally see young entertainers being proactive! And not just shopping for the latest duds.

Now if only other's for example Ms. Lopez would do that in the Bronx, like so many others should do, I think they could show the government how to save OUR OWN PEOPLE!

45. I think this is wonderful and how much better would the world be if others that are more fortunate would step up and contribute something to our countrys fate. They will be blessed ten fold for the meer thought of trying to help those that are less fortunate than them. Now maybe Beyonce and Kelly will be an example for others to give whatever they can to people that are in need. A little goes a long way famous or not. Thanks
