The Knowles-Rowland Temenos Place Apartments will be a 43 unit, single room occupancy housing facility for men and women who are taking steps to improve their lives, after traumatic events of both natural and personal disasters. Save a spot for Britney!

48. Wow. I'm impressed. I wish more young celebs would follow the lead of people like Beyonce' and Kelly and use their millions to try to help others. There are quite a few classy, helpful celebs out there--Faith and Tim, Harry Connick, Jr., and the Marsalis clan have all been working to improve conditions on the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina; Brangelina is single-handedly adopting all the under-privileged babies of the world (well, maybe...Angie seems to be doing good deeds to keep herself in the news, so it's not completely altruistic); etc. To Britney, Paris, Nicole, and LiLo...get a clue, girls--it's not all about how much crack your millions can buy you or how many times you can break the law without being punished. To the person criticizing Katrina refugees: Let's see you go through the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States. You'd be crying like a little girl and expecting someone to bail your dumb ass out too.
49. I am so glad to see this happening and that is something positive done by women role models. All of this talk about men role models not doing anything proves that women know how to do it right. I like to see those who receive more give back to those that do not have. The poor will always be around
This is Beyonce's money and if she wants to do this to help the Katrina victims then so be it.

57. I think it's wonderful what Beyonce and Kelly are doing. From the start, I liked them. There needs to be more celebrities like them helping people in need out. Props to you both!
59. That's such a wonderful idea. Helping people get on their feet. And the rent money is going to charity, right? Because that would be so sad if a celebrity were to cash in on the unfortunate lives of people. Wake up, B. I can see right through this. If this were done for the unfortunate, then the publicity would be on how they want to help the unfortunate through support programs and drug rehabilitation- not owning an apartment. Where in the article do they mention the programs? She is the owner of a low-income housing development. The only benefit these people are getting is low rent. Don't applaude them so soon, because overall, she gets an investment, money, and priceless free publicity. It's all a show. If you want to help people, then make sure the emotions are invested. And charity should never be publicized.
