39. I notice that TMZ is getting more subtle in its snarking. Generally I approve, but not when it comes to child killers like Rebecca Gayheart. The only public attention people like her deserve is a stoning.

I have to wonder why she isn't hanging out with OJ Simpson, Robert Blake, and all the other celebrity murderers who never served a day in jail. Actually both Simpson and Blake served more time awaiting trial. Gayheart wasn't even arrested.

I guess the life of a little Mexican kid isn't worth much in LA.

40. 17. Tragic accidents can happen. Though she did kill a child, she was never found guilty of any intentional crime. She admitted the accident and cooperated completely with the investigation. Let her past stay there. She is newly married and deserves a chance at happiness.

Liar.

She was driving recklessly.

Other cars stopped to let the child cross the street. But Rebecca Gayheart was much too important and busy to stop, being a celebrity and all.

She was driving on the wrong side of the road, illegally trying to pass those other cars, while talking on her cell phone, when she killed that kid.

That is no more an "accident" than drinking and driving. That is reckless, selfish and irresponsible behavior. But you know that, DC. You're trying to cover her ass because a publicist hired you.

She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge - ( "misdemeanor manslaughter"!!)

That's being found guilty, and she pleaded out because she knew if she went to trial she would be found guilty of a more serious charge like vehicular manslaughter.

She threw some money at the parents, an embarrassingly small amount, cried some crocodile tears for the judge, and waltzed on out.

Luckily for her she only killed someone expendable and not anyone important, like another celebrity.

And the only thing more despicable than a child killer is a person who lies to try to cover up for a child killer on a public forum.

41. This woman wantonly and recklessly took away the life of a small child. He was so little and so sweet looking. Oh, that's right, she can afford the BEST lawyers, and after all, the little boy was Hispanic / American. And she was in a HURRY, no time to stop, as all the other drivers had, she had to swerve around them to kill the child. She went out of her way, driving illegally in the wrong lane, speeding, when she took the life of little Jorge. I don't care what she looks like - I hope she sees the child's last look for the rest of her life.

42. You are right Cate Allison, #39. Gayheart's reckless driving killed that little boy, who was simply trying to make his way home from school. The other drivers had stopped to let the child pass, Gayheart, on the other hand, was too busy and important. She sped around the stopped cars (in the wrong lane) and killed the little, sweet looking child. I will NEVER watch anything featuring her, EVER.
